Not interested in the Cash Cup anyway, this United team isn't good enough and would just get embarrassed again. Hopefully it'll be an 8th place finish so we aren't in any of the other Not Good Enough For The Top European Competition Cups.
I never believe what the media quotes as a budget as every team at this level can find money for signings if they really want to do business.
Chuck Rashford into that lot too, and I'd keep Maguire, he's done better than any of our other centre halves this season. McTominay having a scan tomorrow, we might have seen the last of him this season.
Apparently Sancho played well last night. Would you have him back in the squad under a new manager or get rid? We went from having Rashford Greenwood and Sancho leading the line to potentially having none of them. Mad.
If a new manager sees him as an important first team player, then I think he should be given another chance. He is one of the players who could raise some money though, so I wouldn't want to see him on the bench or out on loan again.
Surely if we’ve transfer listed all our squad and it’s public knowledge we need sales to be able to reinvest other clubs are going to offer the bare minimum?
I read about this last week. The Glazers used to take everyone (1,100 staff) to Wembley, provide them with a slap up meal, an overnight hotel and of course a ticket to the game, Ratcliffe appears to be providing just the match tickets and also expects them to cough up £20 towards coach travel there and back with no hotel stay. No doubt several of the Glazer twats will be chartering a private plane across the Atlantic though, as usual, at the club's expense.
Shocking end to the season for the United Women, won the FA Cup last weekend then lost 0 - 6 at Old Trafford in front of 32,000 for the final game of the season. That said, it gave Chelsea the League title rather than city . . .
I know we have a huge rebuilding process to go through and a long journey to get to to be our club again but hopefully today is a start and today Manchester will be Red again. Let's go we've got this & I want that England Omission to fire Rashford up today to show his true talent which he hasnt shown in a while
I thought this was resolved last season. INEOS are convinced Manchester United and Nice will be allowed to play in the Europa League next season. United finished eighth in the Premier League and failed to qualify for Europe via the division's qualifying places, but Erik ten Hag's side won the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon. The winner of the FA Cup, England's oldest cup competition, is granted Europa League qualification, which means United have booked their place in Europe's secondary club competition. The Reds won the Europa League with Jose Mourinho in charge in 2017 and lost in the final of the competition against Villarreal in 2021 during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's tenure. Throughout the season, there were fears United could potentially be barred from competing in the Europa League if French side Nice also qualified for the competition. Sir Jim Ratcliffe bought Nice in 2019 and UEFA regulations state clubs that are owned by the same owners will not be allowed to compete in the same UEFA competitions. Nice have qualified for the second-tier European competition by finishing fifth in Ligue 1 and, ordinarily, UEFA rules would see United demoted to the UEFA Conference League, the third-tier competition, because the French club finished higher in their respective league. However, it's understood United have held talks with UEFA officials since Ratcliffe's investment was signed off and he received assurances that the issue could be resolved. INEOS issued a statement and said: “We are aware of the position of the two clubs and we are in direct dialogue with UEFA. We are convinced that we have a solution for next season in Europe." Although Ratcliffe owns 27.7 per cent of United, his planned further investment would take their ownership stake above the 30 per cent threshold for multi-club ownership rules to apply. United securing Europa League qualification by winning the FA Cup is a huge boost, as missing out on Europe would have caused a significant loss of revenue. United have regularly insisted they will work within Financial Fair Play constraints and the absence of European TV revenue would have impacted transfer activity. INEOS respond to fears Man United could be banned from Europa League next season
I reckon it's just the latest MEN clickbait United story, given that it states in the article that these rules only apply if you own over 30% of both clubs, and INEOS don't.
Glad we won the oldest trophy and the most traditional in my opinion the FA Cup yesterday that is a successful end to the season. Still very unimpressed by our form in the league though but I don't think managers are given enough time anymore to build something so I hope we give Ten Haag at least 1 more season and see what he comes up with. Remember Ferguson wasn't brilliant in his 1st season but still become the greatest manager in the Premier League. Hope Ten Haag gets 1 more season to prove himself.
