You are looking at it all wrong. You knew that you were near to the limit, yet you still bought players before you could afford to do so.

Yes, you sold for higher amount which is great, your numbers will thank you for it. But you still overspent within the windows by buying too many players (and a lot of shite ones at that). No one to blame but yourself. There isn't an anti Forest agenda. There wasnt an anti Everton agenda.

Id love Chelsea to get done as well. Hopefully they do. But if they do, there isn't an anti Chelsea agenda etc.

I think that's probably more because of the backlash to your embarrassing first response TBH

Remind me which club voted not to give the EFL added payments? Sorry, was that Forest?

Forest have got **** all moral high ground.

Forest could potentially just need a point as it stands .

Realistically it's over unless Burnley can do something now.

Shame as I thought Burnley vs Forest was going to be a great finale.

Burnley should have had a penalty at the end as well.

People harping on about it being done because of the GD. We have a match against a very in form Chelsea and if we get a beating of 5 or 6 then suddenly the goal difference isn't quite as big of a gap.

And let's face it, Forest fans have previous of thinking something is done because of GD when we went into that final match a few seasons back with a 8 goal lead over the team behind us and that was overturned

Sometimes it looks obvious and is obvious. Was pretty clear from game one that all three promoted sides would hugely struggle and so it's turned out. Nothing against the fans, but delighted to see Burnley go down after Kompany's ridiculous comments after we sacked Vieira.

Well in the end can’t complain about how yesterday went, despite throwing away safety against Chelsea late in the game.

Hugely relieved to see both games turned around - gives us a simple job of not getting battered next week, which despite our 2020 final day capitulation, is surely even beyond our ability to implode.

We may have lost the support of neutrals through our actions this season, but we do deserve to stay up in the end, having amassed enough points to be safe already and the deduction. I’ll just be glad for it all to be over at Turf Moor though and hope we can improve this summer.

Hopefully I'll be able to get up to Nottm again next season.

And tell my Forest mate - 'We definitely won't win this time!' ;) for about the third time.....

We’ve lost 7 in a row at home to Cardiff so you’ve got some way to go to match that… it is a strange quirk that our results this season and last are identical. 2-3 defeat is our favourites scoreline this season tbh though

Yeah you do like that one. My only hope is pre match pints in the Vat & Fiddle as per the last two times.

If we change venue, then we're never going to win ;)

Still a bit nervous about today tbh - after the 19/20 final day PTSD I won’t totally believe we’re safe until the final whistle.

Hopefully a party atmosphere at Turf Moor today, and Luton get a (low scoring…) win to see out their season in style.

Since start of Jan we’ve won 3 games, Burnley 2, Luton 2 and Sheff U 1. Has to go down as the most pathetic relegation battle ever

Based on points earned on the pitch, the gap between the bottom 3 and the rest is 10 points. We have been awful for much of the season, had 4 points taken off us and still survived with a 6 point cushion. The 3 relegated clubs have been truly horrific this season!

Won't be the same next season though. Subject to any points deduction Leicester receive, I see both them and whoever comes up through the playoffs giving survival a much better go than the 3 this season, so that means there could be at least 2 places in the bottom 3 up for grabs for 2 "established" PL sides to slip through the trapdoor

Luton at least gave it a good crack most of the season. Burnley and Sheffield United felt inevitable for almost all of it.

Huge relief! Although I shouldn’t have been worried in the end - ultimately Luton’s end to the season has been so poor we’ve been safe since the Wolves game on Matchday 33 (although you’d guess they might have earned more if they were still in touch).

So many issues for us this year but ultimately we’ e earned 36 points so can hold our heads high(ish). We’ll need to improve next season to survive again - and Murillo & MGW both look likely to be sold to satisfy PSR; a long summer ahead but for now we can enjoy looking ahead to a 3rd season of top flight football after so long in exile.

Did they though? This plucky little Luton stuff is getting a bit ridiculous if you ask me.

Over the last 28 seasons, the average points required for survival is 36. Luton are 10 shy of that!
In the last 10 years the points required for survival from 2013/14 to last season have been 34, 36, 38, 35, 34, 35, 35, 29, 36 & 35 so they wouldn't have survived any season of the last 10 years with their points tally this season.

Granted, they have given a few teams a run for their money and at certain points we have looked that bad that it seemed that Luton might somehow survive. But the reality is, we have been utter gash this season and still managed to gain 10 extra (earned on pitch) points than them. On top of that, the very Burnley that you feel were inevitably going to be relegated for most of the season, only finished 2 points behind Luton in the end.

Can we really say they gave it a "good crack" in the end?
