Cheers Ceiling, at least someone makes sense, aha. P.Neville, Blanc and Parlour wouldn't touch my team yet I was 12 places behind the winner. Don't know how Joga was 3rd Iether.
Possibly a lot of votes on players rather than teams. Jogas team looks amazing upfront but has the worst defence by a mile... Borobobs defence not far behind it either. Imo Scotty you ended up with quite a weak striker in Dzeko.
Yeah, I agree. Dzeko was a poor choice up front. His stats probably aren't too bad but I think most of his goals come against the smaller teams. I don't remember many of the big games being settled by a Dzeko goal. I could be wrong, but compared to the other strikers I thought he was a weak pick.
Obviously Tottenham are a small club To be honest it's still only a handful of big game goals compared to the bagful the Henry's, Drogba's etc. have. He's a very good player but for an all time PL team he's not up there and it's a pretty important position.
To be fair to Dzeko though has he had loads of opportunities in these games? He's never been regarded as the first choice at City.
Precisely why I wouldn't class him as a a good pick in an all time premier league team. The idea of the draft was to pick players on their PL performances and impact. So while Dzeko, Ozil (even Hazard really), etc. are great players their impact and performances in the PL are fairly limited compared to other players.
Dzeko was a poor pick. Up there with David unsworth, Steve Clarke and Tim sher wood. Gary Neville was a very poor pick too considering how early he was chosen with so many decent right backs available.
Which is strange considering he's one of, if not the best right back the premier league has seen? and that comes from a person that can't stand the manc ****er
"Worst"? My team is built upon a foundation of Premier League legacies. Mark Schwarzer Lucas Radebe, Michael Dawson, Richard Dunne Nolberto Solano, Michael Carrick, Michael Essien, Leighton Baines Mark Schwarzer - he's been at the top for over 17 years. Consistent and a terrific shot-stopper. Not a one-season wonders. Lucas Radebe - an influential rock at Elland Road, respected by his peers and all managers. Richard Dunne - a titan of a defender, forging two solid partnerships at both Manchester City and Aston Villa. Over 300 appearances. Michael Dawson - one of most consistent centrebacks playing today. Great distribution and a true leader. Protected by: Michael Essien - one of the best defensive midfielder's I've seen. An ultimate competitor, with the titles and individual awards to add too. Michael Carrick - a talented midfielder, master at positioning, possessing superb passing skills. 5 league titles. Nolberto Solano - one of the most creative players in Premier League history. He dominated that right flank. When he played right back he also nullified a young Cristiano Ronaldo. Leighton Baines - for some he's currently on par with Ashley Cole (or better). Europes most creative player last season. How can it be 'the worst' when compared to some players who have only played 40 league games, or never amounted 50 clean sheets in their whole career?
First, I clearly said worst defence. You have 3 at the back....Richard Dunne was never a Titan and his only legacy is the amount of red cards he got. Dawson is a little better than an average defender. Still, that's not even the point. You could have Adams, Ferdinand and Campbell as a back 3 and they'd struggle because it's a back 3.... Who has ever played 3 at the back?
Bravo sir... Bravo. That really gave me a giggle. Have you been on the magic mushrooms again? Sorry but dunne, Dawson, radebe as centre backs is okay but not great... So land was a half decent winger but as a wing back hardly a world beater. Essien wasn't isn't a defensive mid... More an all rounder. Your defence isn't poor just merely average.
3 at the back does seem fallible unless it's fairly ingrained in a club like a few of the Serie A clubs. For the sake of fantasy we could suppose that joga's team has it nailed, but a team with conventional full-backs and at least one holding midfield player always does seem like a safer set-up.
