Sure because he’d have been signed for Arsenal if he had won nothing in Scotland. Ridiculous logic mate.
still did nothing of note, being signed by a midtable team in England isn’t that big an achievement. oh no, however will I cope without the most deluded person on the forums validation.
You wading in on the editing without knowing minty and I get on is hilarious you boring piss soaked clown.
He didn’t do nothing of note though. He was very successful, whether you choose to recognise it or not.
Tierney is clearly talented. But Robbo is the best left back in the world it's a really stupid argument to put Tierney on his level.
Andy Robertson is a class player but I think he is falling into the Ashley Cole type scenario now where people just say he is the best LB in the world because he is the best British LB and plays for the best team in England. Robertson is better going forward but Tierney is undoubtedly the better defender.
Undoubtedly Robertson has proved himself time and time again against the best players in the world. I am a big Tierney fan and have defended him plenty of times in the Premier League forum. Tierney barely had to defend in Scotland and has played 15 Premier League games. He has a lot to prove before he can be put on Robertson's level offensively or defensively. There is a reason most teams attack down Liverpool's right. As good as Trent is, Robertson is a top defender and that's why his side isn't targeted.
Having watched Tierney at close quarters for years in european football i know what level he is at. There is no doubt in my mind the level he is at.
I know and agree he is at a high level. But to state he is undoubtedly better than Robertson defensively is just daft at this stage. He's done well at Arsenal so far but still has it all to prove at the highest level. I've seen people talk about how he's "pocketed Salah and Mahrez". Salah should've scored at least one against Arsenal, possibly more. Mahrez cut inside him a couple of times and had efforts saved. There was also a long pass from Ederson over his head which put Mahrez through 1 vs 1 with the keeper but his first touch was poor. He's been very good but he hasn't been faultless as some suggest and although I do think he will go on to be one of the best in the world he's not shown enough yet to be undoubtedly better than Robertson defensively. It's very unfortunate for Scotland that they've both come through at the same time though.
Maybe the folk that jumped in while knowing nothing about Tierney at the time are beginning to understand. As for the national team, Tierney has been better ar centre back and left back than Robertson. Thats taking nothing away from Robertson who i like as a player but simply a fact.
