    Most clubs in Europe have huge squads anyway so that's not an excuse.

    It really would be. Ridiculous to use it past the point of the pandemic issues. The last thing the PL needs is the big clubs getting stronger.

    For next. Apparently its just agreed that leagues can implement it. The leagues themselves can then vote to use it or not.

    Why include the pointless Super Cup but not the pointless Community Shield?
     
  9. Because one funds the fa slush fund and the other delivers 5million euros to the winner.

    The community shield is what it is, it's not considered a competitive game but UEFA consider the super cup as one. I don't really tbh but if they are ponying up 5million it's worth winning.

    I call it the fa slush fund as the community shield tv money and what each club gets out of a supposed charity is very hidden.
