Since the 'joys' of PhotoShop can be so very, very frustrating to a newcomer, and since it's so very, very tempting to give it up as too difficult, please post any questions you may have in this thread. Being unable to do something that's obviously simple if you know which buttons to press is probably the biggest reason for giving up. PhotoShop is a professional application, the books on how to use it are 3 inches thick, but if you post a question here then I'm sure those people that have been using it for a while will do their best to help you out.
Can you please explain part 5 to me of this walkthrough: http://cozuni.blogspot.com/2007/09/p...blend-two.html as it doesn't in the slightest make sense to me.
I've just downloaded Photoshop CS3, but during setup, when running a system scan it reads... Installation cannot continue until the following applications are shut down *Internet explorer Even though it's not open.. Can anyone help me with this?
Can't say for certain, but if it's a downloaded copy, it depends on what release it is, but the first downloads that became available only worked in Vista. Don't know if you have one of those copies or not though so
ctl alt delete -> task manager -> processes -> scroll till you find 'iexplore.exe' -> end the process Do not delete 'explorer.exe' that is totally different.
So basically you set the vector mask (looks like a little camera on your layer box) on your pic that is above the other one (note: only the first picture on top). Then select the gradiant tool then from the edge of the picture pull your gradiant tool into the middle of the picture, voila.
depends... if you take the average desktop @ 1024 x 764 pixels (or around that), then you get a full sized document (obviously), working with a sig, due to guidelines, 500/400x100 px is ok.
This is quite an embarrassing question, but I'm having trouble putting Image X onto Background X, On other such applications (Paint Shop Pro I'd just copy & paste an image onto the background, but I can't on this (CS3 Extended)..... So how do I do it?....:hide
I'm guessing you have to documents open and you want one image to go onto another? If so just drag the image over to the other.
How do you make good backgrounds? For instance a dark blue background with white rays of light coming out of it?! If that makes sense.. Also, what do you use to cut images out? Because mine are never that great...
I not sure about backgrounds as I struggle with them too, But for cutting out I used to use the 'Magic wand' tool...But I found that frustrating, I've since discovered the wonders of the 'Background eraser'....I get much better results with that....
By making layers and using tools like the blur tool and sharpen tool. To get the rays use either shapes or brushes.
