Make a hue/saturation layer and turn the lightness down. Press Ctrl+I on the layer mask then use a white brush to make your shadows.
Having a problem with CS5 in which I have just downloaded, I am unable to save my work. When I click Save As, litrally nothing happens... Any ideas?
(O_o) No idea at all. That's really strange TBH. OK I have a simpler question but its still too hard to figure out by myself since I'm such a PS n00b.. I'm trying this tutorial (caution: PDF) and I have no clue how to do steps 11, 12, 13. Can someone do a very simple PSD with those steps or at least properly explain how to do that. Thank You.
Not sure if this is the right section or not. If I post a thread and want to use the emotions I can but only the one's that you can see, if I press the more emotion button it all freezes, and I have to switch off.. Any clues guys..
I have a question. I used Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and have installed Nik Color Effex on it. Whenever I use both to edit a picture, I save the image as a JPEG file. After I have saved and about the close the image, Photoshop still asks me to save the image to either PSD, TIFF and another file format. Is it okay if I don't save? I always save cause of the thought that I'd lose the edited image that I have already saved. Help!
When you're working on a project in Photoshop, you've saved a copy of the file as a JPEG. But if you don't save the PSD file it just means that if you want to make further changes to create a new JPEG, you won't be able to unless you do everything again. For me, I tend to keep the PSD files in case I want to make any changes and also if I want to reuse a particular image I've used elsewhere. Basically, the PSD is the 'project' and JPEG is the end result of what you've done. If you want to make another version of a JPEG, you'd need the PSD. Hope this helps.
