Would love to have done Vietnam and that region, but got a family now so it will be a few years before I could go out there.
Already planning to go back. For longer this time. I'd like to go to places like Osaka, Kyoto and even further like Okinawa. It was quite expensive, around 2k per person for me an my brothers. I went during cherry blossom season though so hotel prices were at a premium. Disappointed by the lack of pantsu though, not gonna lie. Not many speak English there. It could be an issue. I only spoke very basic phrases but manged okay.
Went to Vietnam for a month in 2013, landed in Hanoi and took a relaxed four weeks travelling before flying from Hoh Chi Minh. Beautiful country and really friendly people. We went to a park in HCM where the locals try and find English speaking people so they can practice the language. They loved talking to my wife, me not so much as they couldn’t understand a word I was saying..
