Just under two weeks to go until this game, I can’t remember the last time I’ve been so excited about going to a game – ok I lie it was last seasons play off final but anyway.. :coat

If you offered me a point now I’d take it, the facts are we haven’t even got a single point away from home yet never mind a goal, so a point would be a nice stepping stone for us to build on, and we can always beat them at Fortress Turf! ;) (10 wins in a row at Turf Moor and counting)

Knowing Coyle he will keep the same team that beat Birmingham on Saturday, think I read somewhere that all season Coyle has only made 3 changes to his squad.

    ----------------Beast----------------

    Mears-Caldwell-Carlisle-Jordan

    --------------Alexander--------------

    Fletcher---Bikey---Elliott---Blake

    --------------Nugent--------------

My prediction: my head says 1-1, my heart says 1-2, just as long as we don’t get hammered again and we score a goal!

Also what a joke that we have to be at Turf Moor at 9.15am for the coaches when it dosen’t kick off till 1pm.

I'd play with Fletcher down the middle, drop Nugent to the bench. Bring Eagles into the side and drop Blake and go with a 4-5-1. Or even drop Blake who i feel has done next to nothing for the past month and bring big Kev into midfield would give us a lot more solid looking side, harder to break down.

I get a feeling Coyle is going to stick with the same players and same formation though and chuck the points away. If he does i'm going 2 or 3 -0 to Blackburn i just dont have any faith in that system away from home. Its a bit hard to really when we've been getting hammered and not scored a single goal. YES we've played some good sides on the rd but i still feel theres too many attacking players in the side even against the likes of Blackburn..

I'd love to sit here kidding myself that we can win but i just dont see it with the same formation, sorry to say:cry:

Well I'd say that Owen Coyle has took you a long way in a short space of time. He wont get you relegated this year neither and he hasn't went and spend alot of money to get you where you are compared to other teams.
His tactics can't be questioned when you look at what he's achieved so far

Hang on a second have you seen our results away from home. 2-0, then 3-0, then 4-0 then 5-0 i believe he's playing too many attacking players away from home. No manager is above being questioned i still see people having a go at Fergies tactics the odd time. I love Coyle think he's a top manager but nobody is flawless and believe we got lucky keeping hold of him. End of the day this is a football message board to give your opinions and whether you agree with mine or not it wont stop me posting them.

    Cheers anyhow

    100% spot on

after 4 defeats 3 of them heavy defeats our tactics away need to be questioned and changed.

Coyle has legendary status at Burnley now but that dosn't mean every decision he makes is gospel.

But in saying that i have faith in him that he will change the tactics in our next away match against Rovers.

I think Coyle should play Bikey in midfield again to add that steal and physical pressence I feel we have been lacking away from home.

As for the Rovers game i cant wait, its the first game im sure all of us looked for on the fixture list when it came out and its nearly here.
im working in the morning so i couldn't go but finish at 12 so ill be able to watch the game.plus its on my birthday anything but a loss will make my day.

I think we will stop the rot away from Turf Moor and get our first away point of the season so im going for a draw.

Well according to our away form pattern, this should be a 6-0 trouncing by Rovers....I can't see it, I think it will be a tight affair....but how good would it be after 4 away games without a single goal or point, to go over there and snatch it....I'd take a 0-0 or a 1-1, but I'd also take a 1-3 Burnley win....leave Ewood stunned as they watch us swagger off back up the road with our first away points....

Can some please enlighten me on something I just saw.

Watching this match currently, and I see Blackburn have a player with no name or number on the back on his kit. Why is this? This is legal?

On another note, great match so are. 2-1 Rovers at the moment.

Very poor today IMO. We simply cannot continue to gift goals in every away game at this level. Blackburn looked a poor outfit to me in a game we could have easily won if we had been at the races. I was a huge fan of Jensen last season although I am becoming a little concerned at his lapses of concentration at times.

The partnership of Carlisle and Caldwell isn't good enough at this level, I think Bikey is a better option alongside Clarke, although Bikey has proved to be a decent player in midfield which is where he needs to stay while McCann is injured. What has happened to Edgar? Surely the kid deserves a chance now.

Plus sides, we scored two decent goals, I thought Mears was excellent again and Eagles looked hungry when he came on, scoring a nice goal to boot - something he has lacked.

All in all, not surprised we have lost this as our away record is seriously poor. I think Coyle needs to bring in reinforcements in the windows or our good 'home' start to the season could soon be a thing of he past.

I don't think either of us were as poor as you make out really.

Alot of your players simply didn't show up.. (Bikey, Nugent, Fletcher) and Di Santo battered your centre back partnership.

You did score two very good goals though, and put up alot of pressure in the second half. And as far as us being bad, it could have been any score at half time.

Thought it was a good derby overall like I said in our forum, if we both played like that consistantly, we'll both get to play each other again next year at the top level.

Not so sure Pete. The manner in which we are shipping goals is quite alarming for me, I hope you are right though!

We are not a poor side, far from it, but as we all know poor defending at this level is usually punished.
