The Bundesliga is a ****ing shit league. Bayern 'overrated' Munich win the league every year and poach the other Bundesliga's teams best players.
Is there a standard kick off time on Sunday's over in Germany? I was waiting on the fixtures to be released on the hope Augsburg would be at home for a weekend I'm over there. They are at home, however to Mainz who are in the Europa League so the fixture will move to the Sunday. Flying out of Munich Sunday evening but hoping I might still be able to catch the game?
Cheers Zippy. That's a shame, I was hoping for earlier. Flying home about 10ish so could probably squeeze in a game at 3:30 and still have time to get to Munich to fly home.
All 34 Bayern games already "massively overbooked" and they are still taking applications until 07/08/16 !
Back looking for more opinions on German players as we took our total for the summer up to 5 Has anyone seen much of Elias Kachunga or Christopher Schindler? All we need is a German right back now for a full german back line
And another one, Jon Goren Stankovic from Dortmund We'll be able to field a full team of former Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 players soon
Any HSV Fans here? HSV signed 20 year old Midfielder Alen Halilovic from Barcelona for 5.5 Mio €. until 2020. But Barcelona has a repurchase option after 1 year for 10 Mio € ( 12.5 Mio € after 2 years). So when he has a good season he will likely return. But at least a sign of talent in the squad.
Still quiet here. OK, Bundesliga hasn't started yet. But at least the 2nd Bundesliga went into action again last weekend. And they have a "big Guest" for this season with VfB Stuttgart. Biggest favourite this season for an immediate return to the top flight where they belong. Stuttgart played its first 2nd League match since 1977 against St.Pauli before a full capacity 60.000 crowd (the match was shown live in German Free TV). The 2-1 win was a bit lucky because especially in the first half St.Pauli was the better team and led 1-0. The 2nd relegated Team, Hannover 96, with the best performance of the whole matchday. A very convincing 4-0 away win at Kaiserslautern should give them confidence. My Lower Saxonian Team, Eintracht Braunschweig, also with a 2-1 home win against newly promoted Würzburger Kickers. It was a good performance of the Eintracht. Next match will be against St.Pauli at the Millerntor. That's a cracker!
Ex Mrs Zippy is a Braunschweig fan, Jasmin only goes to four or five games a season but her brother goes to every game home and away.
Yesterday Stuttgart saw that promotion isn't a no-brainer. The Swabians lost at Fortuna Düsseldorf 1-0 . The "Fortunen" highly motivated with some big chances and Stuttgart clearly not ready at the moment. They'll need their time to adapt to 2nd Bundesliga Football Last year's Relegation/Promotion Playoff Finalist Nürnberg again with an 1-1, this time at home against Heidenheim. They aren't in top form either at the moment. The teams from Lower Saxony: Today Eintracht at St.Pauli. St.Pauli played very good last week at Stuttgart and lost only through some bad luck. Eintracht with a convincing victory. But playing at the Millerntor is never easy. I expect a draw Tomorrow Hannover 96 at home against Fürth. Let's see if the 4-0 victory last week at Fritz Walter Stadium (aka Betzenberg) was an indicator of a good season for a last year poor Hannover team or if it was only an one-off. I hope they will win because I want the 96ers back in the Bundesliga. I can't stand that Wolfsburg is the only club from LS in the Bundesliga. btw: Sunday is the German "Supercup" between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern München. Dortmund are playing in this match although they aren't the actual 'Winner of the DFB Cup , that's Bayern. But they can't play against themselves Will it be Carlo Ancelotti's first trophy in his first official match? Or will the "Schwarz-Gelben" win at home?
