Unless the fans get the game abandoned and they don't win the title today.

The referee just blew the final whistle before 90 minutes?

Well done to Leverkusen , special team , match live on Sky Sports Mix & fans enjoying themselves , I imagine quite a few will have flu or stomach bugs in the morning & ring in sick .

Whilst Granit Xhaka is winning league titles his old club is blowing one .

Deserved title. Head and shoulders better than everybody else. Should make a decent CL campaign next season.

Wtf, sky cut away in the middle of the celebrations and when it came back it's the buildup to a WSL game.
Wanted to see the trophy presentation.

I doubt that will happen today, normally that will be the last day of the season.

Congrats, Bayer (without n :D) . Absolutely the best team this season in the Bundesliga by miles.

Although my HSV today (most likely) blew another season I'm still happy about Bayer winning it already today so they can concentrate now on EL and Cup.

    At last a new champion.
The Bundesliga and the German football fans (if they don't support Bayern) needed this one.

    Thx, Bayer!!!!

Flo Wirtz is an extraordinary player. Hope he stays healthy.

Sorry, I only noticed Zippy's response and now just saw this question. Yes, I posted after the 1st leg, as follows.

    Quoting myself

I'll take that away draw at the Emirates. Overall it wasn't good football by Bayern, but they did the necessary, managed to get their act together a few times and converted two of the few chances they created.

As for this Saka penalty discussion, there's no debate whatsoever. Not only Saka tried to get a penalty by deliberately hooking his own leg against our player, Havertz did exactly the same thing in our box a few minutes earlier. Silly cheats!

Any referees allegedly giving penalties like that at the highest level should be sacked, as they fail to consider blatant deliberate intent of contact by players who pretend to fall.

It's acceptable to throw yourself on the floor if it's the only language referees understand that "playing advantage" is not the intent of the fouled team (if there actually is a foul). However, trying to frame the opponent as the foul committing side, solely with acting, that should be obvious cheating to any decent referee.

After looking at that Arsenal handball in the box after the goal kick, we're the ones who were robbed of a penalty!

The premiership Arsenal today looked worse than us.

If anyone can f##k it up this season's Bayern can, no Coman, no Gnabry, hopefully Sane will be fit.

Nothing that a package bid for Wirtz, Grimaldo, Frimpong, Xhaka, Schick and a couple others can't fix and initiate a new decade long snoresville, no?

    FINALLY! Take some notes, BVB.

Just like with Napoli last year, what a joy it was to witness this dominant season from a team that wasn't on the radar. And they can do more...

It's impressive enough for any team in Germany to overcome this Bayern team, as they are just so far ahead in every area, and have dominated for what seems like forever.

However, Leverkusen not only beat them to the title, but ran away with it, which arguably makes it even more impressive. I think because of the manner in which the won, this title is up there with the Leicester and Atletico title wins imo.

Yep, good luck to them, fully deserved. But they'd better look over their shoulders in August :smokin:

Congrats Leverkusen and Xabi, wonderful achievement to not only win the league, but absolutely destroy the rest of.

Hope they go on to win the Europa League now too (as long as we dont do another mission impossible and overturn the 3-0 in Italy that is)

Yes they did. Terrible performance against Villa.

Now can Xabi's Bayer break Bayern's record points tally of 91 in 12/13? If Leverkusen win all their games, they'd finish on 94. It's on the cards!

And they can be the first club in the Bundesliga with an unbeaten season. Even if they would only draw the last 5 matches they'd be the first Invicibles in the Bundesliga.

I know that Arsenal did it once in the PL and Celtic in the Scottish Premiership but it never happened in the Bundesliga so far. That's also a feat they can reach (if they want it)

    *************

And it looks like we get next season the first club from the federal state Schleswig-Holstein in the Bundesliga. Holstein Kiel actually (like Fortuna Düsseldorf) with a 5 wins in a row surge ( in Holstein's case even 5 matches without conceding a goal). After St.Pauli lost a bit surprising 2-3 this weekend Holstein is now back in 1st place.

They really deserve their stint in the Bundesliga. They were in the relegation playoff against Köln 3 years ago and even won the first match in Köln 1-0 (like HSV in Berlin 2 years ago) but lost the home match 1-5.

The last time Holstein Kiel had played in the German top tier league was in the pre-Bundesliga era, so it's over 60 years ago (last season of the Oberliga Nord 1962/63 where they reached 5th place but couldn't qualify for the new Bundesliga (3 clubs from the Oberliga Nord qualified HSV as Champion, Werder as 2nd and Eintracht Braunschweig as 3rd))

HSV actually 3 pts behind Fortuna Düsseldorf at 4th place. Only 5 matches to play. The 2-2 at Magdeburg (where we always have problems) didn't help but at least we showed morale after behind behind 0-2 from 2 penalties and one man less after the red card for Ramos we had enough chances in the 2nd half to win it.

Its a great thing to not only see a "new" winner doing it by building a good team (xhaka, boniface, hofmann, grimlado free all last summer, holozek, puerta, mbamba last season) and really delivering.

They have gone and got frimpong and wirtz and brought them on as well over time.

It proves that good decision making brings sides on. There s a LOT of good decisions that have worked out building that side.

the good thing is they've also won it with a big points total already so its not really just that bayern had "a bad year" they've absolutely hammered the points total for the prior two seasons.

the fact that kaiserslautern are in div 2 as well means the clean sweep of "someone different" is on.
