You guys have signed Chalobah on loan for the season from Chelsea. http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2014/08/burnley-loan-for-chalobah.html?
http://www.burnleyfootballclub.com/news/article/nathaniel-chalobah-signing-010914-1890580.aspx Needs to make it happen, couple of other loan moves not really worked for him according to some stuff i read off their fans. i thought he played well against us for Watford that time. more bodies in midfield though with him and Boyd. Hopefully get a CB signed up too
Anderson from man united being linked with a move to us as well on a season long loan deal. as for Dawson West brom can get stuffed if they think we're paying over 3m for him. id rather look elsewhere
Very happy with Boyd and Chalobah, we are finally adding some real quality to the squad. Hopefully one or two more to come before 11pm tonight.
What position is Boyd? I thought he played central attacking midfield. Imagine we would want to play him out wide. Every time I've seen him play I've liked him, poor mans Glenn little ( slow and skilful) Chalobah, first loan into the championship got rave reviews hopefully will blossom under Dyche.
If you look on the club website he said he likes it outwide best. as for the Chelsea lad he seemed to do well at Watford but going off what Forest and boro fans said they weren't keen
Good luck to Boyd. A ok squad player for us at this level but with one year left on his contract getting some money for him is a reasonable decision. He'll probably start for you? Interested to see how he does with consistent playing time at this level. As for the position he plays, he can play either on the wing or behind the forward.
how did you people at hull rate him ? is he good enough in this league. Interesting he ends up with us now 2 seasons or so after Eddie Howe tried signing him but Barry Fry was speaking absolute bollocks regarding price. like i said personally id drop taylor and stick Boyd out there
I'd say he's closer to the Championship standard than Premier League standard but he isn't a terrible player at this level. He is a hard worker and could occasionally help us from the bench for us, although sometimes he did look a bit lost. He was an important player for us during our promotion season though. He probably needs more consistent playing time at this level to accurately judge him. If Dyche can give him some confidence he might do a job for you. If you go down you have a good Championship player on your books.
Was his eyesight ok? Baffled me and would love to know if Forest asked him to read a number plate parked in Notts County's car park? Fear for Burnley.
So we've got CB Keane from Man United George Boyd from Hull Chalobah from Chelsea think its safe to say the two younger ones have something to prove , in all honest i cant see either of them going straight into the side, think Keane will be cover for Duff to start off with . Boyd i can see starting sooner rather than later hopefully in place of Taylor who for me should never have been signed in the first place. id have like to see another winger coming in as well. i know Boyd plays out there at times but for me could of done with cover on the other side too..
Better than nothing i suppose , at least we've added to the squad. cant help feeling its the cheap option yet again though.
yeah while fat bastards like woos are coining it in .50% season ticket rises over 40notes to get into games. stick it up your arse. im only attending away games from now on
Hope it's not another Blackpool in the making but the additions have been poor, stuck up on trying to sign 3 players (Bryson, Dawson and Lansbury) and not getting any. Panic buys as well. I think you need a miracle January window to stay up - IMO.
We tried getting the lad from Wigan as well who ended up at Palace for 7m . build the hopes up then knock them down typical Burnley and got all the traits of our last stop in the premiership . only people who'll really benefit are the board/owners. Like i tried saying to some dumb bastard last night come Jan the wage demands are the same , the prices remain the same if not higher if you're in a relegation battle and if we are its going to be far tougher to attract decent players sitting in the relegation zone. im more pissed off for Sean Dyche because with a little backing and his tactical know how im convinced we'd have made a real go and fancied our chances of stopping up
