If you don't invest in the billionaire playground league you will be left for dead and the stopped investing in new players.
Certainly true there and key players not performing/past their best. But it almost feels quite personal in some cases - like Rodgers never did well at any stage and they only focus on last seasons admittedly very poor effort. Maybe he refused to take responsibility?
He probably did fall off the cliff in the end but the club stopping investing in players was part of it. Like you say he done a great job for them before that but any support would be bitter at playing a part in taking them down.
Will you guys be happy to take the money if this does happen? Has the player expressed an interest to leave ? Jota: Celtic winger wanted by Saudi club Al-Ittihad after Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kante deals
25 million? It's our model, of course we would accept it. Unfortunately benfica are due 30 per cent or 7.5 million but still definitely accept it. Really good player. Not sure he wants to leave, he's adored here
Aaron Mooy retiring. Bargain of a signing. Really enjoyed his contribution over the course of the season.
We had him in his prime, was like a cheat code having him in the championship. Glad he had a decent spell at Celtic after a slow start.
Yeah he just needed match fitness when he first came in but even then I thought his technical quality was showing. After the World Cup he had a brilliant spell of form. The rumour is it’s a back fracture that is forcing his retirement as he had another year on his deal with us. A shame but totally understandable.
Celtic FC Foundation donate £10,000 to Morocco Earthquake Appeal Celtic FC Foundation donate £10,000 to Morocco Earthquake Appeal Celtic FC Foundation has donated £10,000 in an effort to help the Moroccan community after a tragically catastrophic earthquake struck the country’s High Atlas region late on Friday evening. The Foundation works very closely with Islamic Relief UK throughout the year to help provide essential food packs to vulnerable individuals and families locally, and Islamic Relief have been one of a number of organisations that have reacted extremely quickly to assists those more impacted by this devastating natural disaster, via their Morocco Earthquake Emergency Appeal. We are pleased to support their efforts with this donation. As of this morning, over 2,100 people have sadly lost their lives with many others injured or missing. Relief efforts to this stage have also been extremely difficult, as first responders have struggled to navigate the blocked roads and rubble-stricken streets. Islamic Relief will be working alongside local humanitarian organisations on the ground to help deliver vital aid. This donation will help provide crucial supplies such as food, non-food items and emergency shelter to those most in need. Celtic FC Foundation Chief Executive, Tony Hamilton, said: “The tragic events in Morocco over the past few days have been extremely sad. "At Celtic FC Foundation, we will always aim to support those most in need in instances such as this, and with our great friends at Islamic Relief having reacted so quickly to provide aid, we are humbled to be able to offer a contribution to their efforts. “Celtic FC Foundation is also planning to take a group of fundraisers over to Morocco this coming February for a Sahara Desert Challenge, so this is also very poignant to us and to all involved. “We are grateful to Islamic Relief UK for their incredible work, and we hope that those affected in Morocco can slowly begin to recover and heal from this recent tragedy.”
