Champions again. This is our 9. “TODAY Celtic have been declared Scottish Premiership Champions for the 9th season in a row. We have dominated the Premiership, winning 26 games out of 30. We have scored 89 goals, conceded just 19, and established a commanding 13-point lead at the top of the table. We are champions for a reason. We dedicate this victory to you. To all our supporters. To the key workers who are saving lives, cleaning hospitals, stacking shelves and shielding loved ones at home. Our 9, is your 9. We want Celtic fans all over the world to celebrate in style, but, of course, safety is the number one priority for all, and for now this means celebrating in our homes. We all must stay safe and stay home. Please DO NOT come to Celtic Park. We dedicate this league title to you. We dedicate 9 in a row to you. This is our way. This is our 9. This is our time.” Yasssssssss! 9 in a row, 1 to go!
Champions again. Well done to the players and manager for a well deserved title. Gutted that we can't have the normal celebrations that usually come with it, but I'm sure that fans worldwide will have their own private parties and so they should. Roll on the ten.
Yep look at Fulham 2008 and Leiester 2015 , sure theres loads of examples in Scotland as well of teams doing late run.
Tbf Celtic are used to having titles just handed to them. It was every season Rangers weren't in the league and they had no competition. Anybody can win a one team title race.
Was ways going to happen either on or off the pitch. As Lustig said today on Talksport - "Rangers can't stop Celtic as they always crumble". Gutted we couldn't finish it on the pitch as I believe we would have won it by around 20 points. The league finishing like this has thankfully saved Gerrard job.
Got to focus on stopping ten in a row next season. Make or break season for Gerrard. Hearts really shouldn't be relegated though.
I'd definitely agree that this gives Gerrard an opportunity to stay in the job, as you'd expect Rangers are going to throw the kitchen sink next season and most likely with money they don't really have. It'll be interesting to see how much money they trust Gerrard with, despite the financial effects of the coronavirus.
