The Europa after Christmas was our target in a group with two real heavyweights and Anderlecht who were seeded in the pot above us. In that respect we've done exactly what we set out to do, just disappointing the way we performed tonight.

    Shocking performance last night.

Brown and Ntcham the only two with pass marks.

The passing was shocking, even when we weren't under any pressure we were giving the ball away, simple things going wrong.

Sinclair and Armstrong rightly subbed and possibly our two best players last season look way off it.

Rodgers said this was a wake up call for some of the team who think they are at CL level and he is right, it will have to be a big January transfer window for us if we want to do anything in the EL.

Very disappointing last night, but it can be a good thing if lessons are learned and the level of quality we bring in is upped a notch or two.

I have zero expectation of finishing in the top two of a group containing the likes of Bayern and PSG so we have achieved our objective, but Anderlecht are average/decent at best and we made them look good last night.

It’s clear that we need a few defenders, but improvement is required throughout if we are to do better at this level.

Very poor from Celtic but it's job done (just). Play like that in the EL knockouts you won't get very far though

Central defence, RB and goalkeeper needs strengthening before you can start competing in the CL like Lennon did that one year where you made it through the group.
