I think they've canned it, which is super sad because I was loading up on Delta Work. Revised race times as well now 1.45 - Ballyburn* wins if he gets round, no single 2.30 - Fact to File is a lot of people's nap for the festival, but there's enough unanswered questions for me to try and get it beat. He probably wins with his head in his chest but we are taking it on trust that he stays 3 mile, because he's never run it. American Mike 12.5/1 has proven form over 3, I was on him when he beat good horses in Nick Rockett and Minella Cocooner and looked like he had more left. He's actually beaten Fact to File before, too. Might be made to look silly but I'm taking that fave on. Pick between Stay Away Fay and Montys Star as the cover, even both, but if Fact wins you've lost a few points. Think I'm doing Stay Away. 3.15 - Ballyadam 15.5 should have gone for this last year, instead ran in the County Hurdle, running on for a place and looking like he wanted this further distance. Pound lower than last year, longer distance, Rachel's up, we'll take it. Brazil 20s is my other. This could be a bit of a plot horse this. Only 5lbs higher than when beating Gaelic Warrior in the Boodles a couple years ago, and the jockey has a claim which takes that off. We know the ability is there. 4.00 - El Fabiolo* surely wins if he stands up. 4.50 - Open this so I'm having a few. Sa Fureur 12, Unexpected Party 18.5, Triple Trade 32. Unexpected Party could be this year's Langer Dan plot horse, Skelton has again been a bit naughty keeping the handicap down. Trade simple because he's won me a lot of money and if he was to head off this race and I wasn't on I'd kick myself. 5.30 - the only one I've had so far is Cest Ta Chance 36. Will see how the day goes. * double on these 2 Prices are current on Betfair Exchange which is about all I have left to punt on.
With Jonbon out that double isn't really worth doing. Recommend making it a treble with Fact To File, then we're also not to sad if Fact wins Like 90% I'm going to add Built By Ballymore in the 3td race too. Just can't overlook his form on heavy. Slim profit is better than no profit
Good run by Fact to File but a bit of a mare from American Mike. Could do with a win from Ballymore here but would be content enough with a Brazil/Ballyadam win. Hopefully no shocks from El Fabiolo later either!
**** you Dan Skelton for Langer Dan but thank you Dan Skelton for saving my day with Unexpected Party
I backed Langer Dan and Captain Guinness to win today and both won making me a tidy little £90 in profit.
1.30 - Facile Vega 3.35 2.10 - Icare Allen 11, Chantry House 36 2.50 - Envoi Allen 3.75 3.30 - Teahupoo 2.8 4.10 - Theatre Man 8 (AP) current 5 4.50 - nothing yet 5 30 - nothing yet Few obvious picks and favourites I know, but I do really like them and have to pick what I think will win. If you're arsed about mini write ups lmk but can't be arsed right now. May add more tomorrow as usual and last 2 I haven't picked yet
In fact, the last, the fav again looks really good. Follow Derek O'Connor in the last this year. I've just backed it 5.30 - Inothewayurthinkin 3.85
