Say what you want about him, he is still comfortably the best striker in the whole of the premier league. Just in a side that doesn’t create nowhere near enough for him. In this city side he gets 35 goals comfortably.

There's a mentality issue at Spurs. I have no doubt about that and I've been quite critical of it the last couple of seasons but I don't think losing those particular games has anything to do with it.

Our defeats to the likes of Zagreb are better examples of our mentality. Or even the Champions League run where I think we conceded early in 3 consecutive knockout rounds because we're stupid.

I think it's unfair to label us bottlers today though. It had nothing to do with bottle. They're just better than us.

As bad as the record is.. I'd still back us to win a final v Watford or Hull or whoever some of the other big teams have won finals against in recent seasons.

We had a kind run to the final but generally we've lost the big stage to other big teams. It's not a surprise really.

As for the sacking. It was inevitable really. The Zagreb result sealed his fate. The mistake was probably not sacking him there and then. I think Levy wanted to give him the final but results and the mood in the squad made his position untenable. He looked like he'd given up in his last game with us.

Against league leaders Chelsea? Yeah OK

We went in to that final with a really young and inexperienced side. Quite a few, Kane included, were only just making their breakthrough season.

The only real disappointing thing for us is although we haven't been favourites, that's four consecutive finals without a goal.

    United 0-0
    Chelsea ? - 0
    Liverpool 2-0
    City 1-0

I've blanked on the Chelsea one. I have a feeling it was 2. I just know it was another miserable day where the effort was there but quality wasn't and it was a comfortable win.

Funny how people label Kane a **** yet as soon as Grealish does the same he is England’s golden boy. Even Foden hits the floor every once in a while when he feels contact. It’s gamesmanship. Deal with it.

Don't do England so couldn't give a shit, the one today when Dias clearly won the ball was ridiculous.

I label him a **** for swearing on his daughter's life in an attempt to claim goal that was never his.

I know he was going for golden boot but even so that was sick and a dick move from the bloke.....

Very lucky to lose by 1, thought our defence looked excellent today, we were absolutely pinned in.

City were completely and utterly dominant, just extremely wasteful and let us off the hook.

Had zero expectation, to be honest anyone thinking otherwise was just kidding themselves.

Son and Reguilon were atrocious, Kane in effective. Moura and Lo Celso looked up for it. Lloris, Dier and Toby were excellent.

As an aside, congratulations to Manchester City, truly deserved. All the best for the remainder of the season.

Next managerial appointment at Spurs is a complete over haul, this team is dead and was long before this free roll of a final.

Probably our toughest run out the 6 league cup wins , Arsenal, United and Spurs.

Just watching small highlights again on YouTube, Martin Tyler sucks the life out of football, like he hates the game.
