Hello and welcome everyone! A FEW THINGS ARE GOING TO BE DIFFERENT THIS GAME SO PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS POST! Its nice to have a game of Mafia running again on here, its nice to have decent numbers and its very nice to see some new faces. We've all played Mafia before so I don't think I need to C&P a big long list of rules and how to play, we all know that, right? Few things to take into consideration about my Moderating. I work nights, so my body clock is a bit backwards at the best of times. I will try my best to keep the day phases finishing late evening and night phases finishing as soon as all actions are in. Sometimes things might go on whilst you are all up but I'm asleep but I will catch up asap. I have the mod abilities to close to the thread, so on occasion might do that to catch up with votes counts and what not. Also please note I'm away for the weekend and whilst I'm not in the middle of no where from what I remember WiFi signal isn't great and I'll be busy anyway. Nothing to do with my personally but the Wife and I are going away to enjoy a Joy Swift Murder Mystery weekend and if that's your thing (...and as we're playing Mafia it very well might be?) then I would strongly suggest a look at http://www.murder.co.uk they are fantastic weekends. I am only human, I can make mistakes – I will try not to (obviously) and will try to keep on top of the game...but...you know, have some patience please The game itself. The last few I've run have been themed games with roles and powers I've created myself to fit certain characters. None of that, this time. Classic Mafia with no bastard roles. All roles would be something you'd find in a classic Mafia game. However, that is all the information I will give you on the game set up. I will leave it open. The day phases will last between 2 and 3 days. I will always schedule them to end at 23:00 as I can always be at a computer to sort the end of day. When they start will depend on when the Night ends I will schedule the night for 12 hours to finished at 11:00 or when I have all actions in, rinse and repeat New/Different rules Activity: I expect a minimum of 10 posts per day phase from all active players. If you have a Power Role then you will not be able to use it if you haven't met your quota. If you don't have a Power Role and don't meet the quote in the first instance you will be warned. A second occurrence by anyone and you will be Mod Killed. This is to promote activity rather than spam!! Its a rule I came across during the Mafia Universal Championships and lack of activity is something our games have suffered with. Not trying to be Nazi mod but trying something different to avoid a path we've all had to endure walking down before. If being active becomes a serious problem and you wish to be replaced please let me know asap and I will try and find one (we have no reserves listed as of now) Day 1: D1 is another problem we've had in your games, it drags, people tend to not vote and we go through 3 days just to no lynch and then have D2 be a repeat of D1. So, again stolen from the Mafia Universal Championships, D1 will be slightly different. D1 will be scheduled to end 23:00 Thursday 8th of June. If a majority vote is met before the deadline, that person will be lynched. If there is not a majority vote by the deadline WHOEVER HAS THE MOST VOTES WILL BE LYNCHED. No Lynch is a voting option, so the only way to have a no lynch on D1 is if that option either reaches a majority or is in the lead at the end of the day. Again, just trying to promote a bit more activity. All other day phases will following the normal pattern of Majority Votes to lynch, if a majority is not met – there will be no lynch. All other rules follow the usual standard, anything you aren't sure about...ask... ...and lastly, enjoy!
