On City's goal, it was actually errors from Partey and Rice. Partey pressing way too high and getting too easily done and because he's already on a booking, he can't bring Foden down. Rice then goes full hero ball and rampages over (running straight past De Bruyne) and tries to dispossess Foden and leaves his man Palmer wide open for an easy 2 v 1 situation that Tierney then fails to deal with. He's got to shake off the typical English I'll save the day mentality and keep his shape and track his runners.

We can't take too much from today as I don't think it'll be the same XI against Forest and it won't be the same approach either.

Tbh I think the team might be very similar vs Forest. Trossard deserves to start though.

If Forest approach the game in the manner I think they will, having Rice and Partey on the pitch seems like overkill.

I'd be surprised if we're unchanged.

Yh partly agree but I think Rice needs to find his feet, possibly as the other number 8, so these games are good for him to bed in.

Good run out for the lads. Loved Palmer getting his goal, this time last year we got beat by Liverpool 3 1, Nunez was a beast. Haaland was a donkey and we were ****ed, turned out alright , as for City kid crying, pathetic ffs, nothing to cry about.

I watched all the Championship games on Sky ,rather than watching Grealish continually adjusting his Alice band going on one of them flouncy runs before falling over unbalanced due to the excess of fluff in his belly button .

It did actually from a season ticket holders point of view , notice you've come back for the start of the new season.

not easy this boycott stuff, we’d know. Sure the next one you’ll all get organised better.

Thought I’d pop my head in - decent transfer thread. Can’t see me populating the match threads or general conversation mind.

weird cup final day that weren’t it? Could have been playing Watford, no needle outside whatsoever. Far cry from 2011- maybe we’re all going soft.

It come out that the protest was done mostly by season ticket holders so obviously all the plastics got the remaining tickets after members had their chance get them. Apparently horrific at Wembley today. Thanks **** the hardcore real fans back for next Friday.

Yeah I didn't take my 12 year old to final due to fear of him seeing trouble especially after 2011 semi final, he'll probably see worse at Burnley and Sheff wed in next few weeks , wish I'd took him now.

The Plastics prop up your support and are more valued to the owners. Make no mistake. They''ll be skimming tickets off aways soon - see it a mile off ;)

Was a top day out seeing people but a weird atmosphere, was anticipating it to be going off all over.

That performance was Kai Havertz in a nut shell. Especially in a “big”match. His presence in build up creates chances, some of which he is at the end of but 9 times out of 10 he will fluff it.
