Great to get to the next phase. Hopefully Gunter and Morrell can be rested now for the good of football.

We knew that going in though, think we've been on the banned list for some time and Amsterdam was the one we were all looking out for. Pretty sure Denmark is also on the Dutch banned list, they're pretty strict.

Don't even want to think about the away days we've missed this tournament though

Right then, Denmark it is. How we lining up for this?

I'd say the same team as Turkey to be honest:

    Ward
    Roberts - Mepham - Rodon - Davies
    Allen - Morrell
    Bale - Ramsey - James
    Moore
The point of contention would be Joe Morrell really, but with Ampadu suspended I don't know if there's a better alternative. You want Ramsey in as attacking a position as possible, and I think Morrell and Matt Smith are to be honest very similar in ability and I don't think there'd be much difference selecting him. There's maybe the chance to go for a bit of a wild card and put Neco Williams there, after an impressive half an hour in Paris, but he's very inexperienced in that position.

We could go with Harry Wilson for Morrell..

It would be a new system that we haven't played before though, and I don't see that being introduced at this stage of a major tournament. Wilson and Morrell play very different roles.

I think there's room to try that system with two 8's in there, with Ramsey and one of Harry Wilson, Tyler Roberts or David Brooks ahead of Allen going forward though.

Morrell didn't play any role v Italy ... a passenger and a liability. Shame Ampadu is banned , we need a bit of midfield physicality against the Danes and i think we could get bullied there !

I know, but he did play well against Turkey and has performed well for us before and in bigger games then any of his direct rivals. It is a shame Ampadu is missing, he'd be in there otherwise. We do miss physicality, and Denmark are a physical sides with good athletes in midfield but there isn't a quick fire solution to it.

I would even consider Cabango over Mepham for this one

Random stat: Wales have the highest % cross accuracy of any team in the tournament.
