  2. Leave 'em to it, poor inbreds don't know what they're talking about half of the time.

A standard reply from a fan fighting the bitterness. I'll leave you with a Merlin quote from yesterdays game:

(When asked if he felt sympathy for Houllier, a slow smile spread across McCarthy's face) "I don't like to hear any manager getting hostility," he said. "But I'd prefer it to be him than me so, no, to be honest I don't give a flying flute. I can empathise with him, I've been there, but 'sympathy' is not the word. Look it up in the dictionary, it's between sh*t and syphilis...

  4. Cheers for proving my point.

Jesus, them grapes am sour ay they??

I dont mind anyone critising our fans but when it is coming from Villa fans who are notoriously poor when it comes to vocal support is laughable.

I actually thought we were pretty loud and 10 times better than you were ( or ever have been ) at our place.Blues and Albion have always brought a noisier following to our place.

As for the game, i thought we were the better side for most of it and I dont remember Hennessey having to make a save. Thought you were unlucky not to have had a penalty but other than that I can honestly say that other than 10 man Blackpool you are the worst side we have played this season. I think at full strength you just be ok to stay up but your squad is very thin.I didnt have a clue who some of your players were.

  12. Bolded would suggest that you do mind people criticising your fans?

Everyone's said that you were the better side, you just weren't that good.

Also, other than 3 of the back 4, it WAS our full strength side.

If there were players in there you hadn't heard of, then you ain't been paying much attention this season then, unless of course you meant Herd, in which case, fair enough.

To be honest, I dont pay too much attention to Villa although with you being serious relegation contenders then maybe I should. Was Herd the one who couldnt cope with £500,000 winger Adam Hammill? I didnt know who your other centre half was either?

I honestly didnt know that was almost your full strength team, if so you are in more trouble than I thought.

So does Reo - Coker and that other bloke ( one who missed the header ) start every week?

  16. No, because it's been pretty well documented, I knew all of your players and you're tiny, so that can't be it...

Heh, fair enough, errm, Herd was the centre back next to Cuellar, Baker was the left back (who is actually a centre back too)..

Well we signed Makoun in January and he's been mixed so far (only on his 4th game though tbf..) and Reo-Coker is by far our best DM...

    Our line up yesterday was;

    Friedel
    Walker Cuellar Herd Baker
    Makoun Reo-Coker
    Albrighton Young Downing
    Bent

    Baker came off for Delph.
    Reo-Coker came off for Pires.
    Albrighton came off for Gabby.

    Our first choice (well, Houllier's...) is;

    Friedel
    Walker Collins Dunne Clark
    Makoun Reo-Coker
    Albrighton Young Downing
    Bent

As you see, not that big a difference.

The players ain't the problem, the way they're being played however, is.

Houllier did right to bring Albrighton off as it must have been embarrassing Elokobi owning him....

He's a flash in the pan anyway...

  20. As did I, I didn't get the booing, what I didn't agree with was putting Gabby on the left...

    Herd - Fair enough
Baker - Mehhh, I suppose that can be excused
Clark - Didn't play, due to suspension, but behave yourself... He's played 24 games this season ffs...
