Love it personally, big dollop of mash to go with Sometimes add sausages to it. Liver gravy is the best to "dip in" bread gravy on the planet, fact. My cousin used to sit there dipping bread in his tea, tea that he would have four sugars in.
Mac n cheese is a typical bbq side, so adding bbq sauce to it isn't odd. I have pulled pork with mac n cheese quite a lot. The same combo does not work with "fanxy" mac n cheese though. It needs that artificial taste to it.
Chopped pork sandwich with HP brown is life changing Also, kerala salt and chilli seasoning on lamb chops before cooking
So growing up in the Philippines, my dad's side did this for breakfast which I thought was normal, but taking it to school, my friends all thought it was odd, so perhaps it was just unique to that side of the family as my mom's side wanted nothing to do with it. It would be hot cocoa, made closer to the bitter (as opposed to sweet) side, used as sauce over steamed white rice, and eaten with some salty meat like Spam, bacon, ham, hotdogs along with an egg (scrambled or fried depending on your preference). I guess the closest comparison would be some weird version of Mexican molé, but looking back now, it does seem quite odd. I've not tried to make it, myself, but when I visit family back home, it's at the top of the list!
