The Rotterdam pre-game hoopla may have been the day’s highlight after Ajax salvaged a 1-1 draw with leaders Feyenoord with a score 20 minutes to go.

And right at the Eredivisie midway point, who had Ajax fifth?

Not me. Terrible season by their standards! Still would be nice to see Feyenoord winning another league.

Not heard of this team before promoted to the Eredivisie.

    Almere City FC - Wikipedia

At 4k capacity must be one of the smallest grounds to ever host top flight football in a major league ?

    More trouble it seems .

Feyenoord 3 up at Ajax and the game has been abandoned due to crowd trouble.

Dutch fans are nuts, the authorities don't seem to have any control.

The Dutch police are ridiculously competent in terms of crowd control. Reckon Dutch fans really blow a gasket when they're pissed off (this is probably why there aren't away fans allowed in Ajax/Feyenoord games as too hard to police) and that it's very hard to control.

Things are very bad at Ajax. I mean they couldn't even beat Marseille. Shocking!

I'm going from my own experiences (which are based on games I attended years ago). I wouldn't criticize the Dutch policing of games based on a couple of games especially since the French policing is terrible (unlike the British which is probably up there with the best in the world with Germany).

IMG_1087.jpeg IMG_1088.jpeg IMG_1089.jpeg Abandoned? Feyenoord walked into Amsterdam and Kicked Ajax Butt fully and completely in just 40 minutes. Add in Ajax fan behavior, the only justice is for Eredivisie to grant the defending champs the victory without further ado (or fireworks!)

Even that is a h@rsesh!t decision by Dutch officials. Automatically give the loss to the offending side, instead.

All this does is encourage home fans to repeat disruptive behavior when their team is in a funk, to get a better chance at a comeback on another day when their form is better. What a stupid doggie-poo decision by Eredivisie suits.
