So so sad if this happens. Yet another tradition binned so that the big clubs can have their own way.

About time. Watching your team play for two hours and there’s no result is plain daft.

Then they will fly on some promotional tour pre season or more games in Europe to get extra revenue .

But of course. Can't have the smaller clubs getting in the way of the money making schemes.

Good for the players who don't get much of a break nowadays & it seems there's far more injuries especially with ligaments compared to yesteryear maybe due to over playing .

All premier League teams should donate gate receipts to lower leagues opponents

Will get worse with the new CL format coming up. Extra games.

Maybe that's one of the reasons there doing it, got to look after the big clubs.

Scrub the replays so we can make the FA cup final a best of three.

FA Cup replays set to be scrapped on a 'CASE-BY-CASE' basis

“FA Cup replays set to be scrapped on a 'CASE BY CASE' basis from third round this season... with teams in Europe likely to be awarded one-off ties to ease fixture congestion caused by death of the Queen in major shake-up”

Cannot see that going down well if some teams have replays and others don’t.

In principle, I don't object to scrapping replays in the FA Cup. We already don't have them in the latter stages so there's no reason why the competition shouldn't be played on the same basis from beginning to end. But the idea of some clubs having replays and others not is as much of a nonsense as VAR being used in some ties and not others.

And the teams in Europe will just play a weaker team in the FA Cup ties if they have to - even more so in a replay.

Maybe but they don’t have any for the 5th and 6th rounds so will probably try to go the while hog.

Not sure the PL clubs need to worry that much - they usually play their 2nd string anyway now .

Yeah, and as I've said before, it's such a great shame. The PL's success has turned it into nothing more than the Copa Del whatever they play in Spain and the other meaningless cup in Italy.

It makes no sense to me, the format has tradition, and for the biggest clubs, these are competitive games where they can give squad and youth players competitive games.
