I reckon Cray Valley Paper Mills fans I think they were called had an enjoyable day at Charlton this season & Posh fans enjoyed a rare penalty shootout win after a 4-4 draw after extra time away at Salford in a round 1 replay none of which have any impact on the Premier League & or their teams involvement in European Competitions in which you can finish 5th in your own league & then the season after be crowned Champions of Europe , if ever a competition needs a name change then that's it .

The glamour & glory of football is more & more becoming like society where the rich & poor divide is growing & the Big 7 in England , Man U , Liverpool , Man City , Arsenal , Chelsea , Spurs & Newcastle are the ones driving that with a further 13 puppets on their strings supporting them , football Tories .

Exactly! Of course he would have wanted that extra fixture and a trip to Wembley. And to add to all of this craziness, I've seen it suggested elsewhere that Newcastle are flying out to Australia 2 days after the final match of the season to play a friendly. So these "overworked" players can't do cup replays but they can travel around the world for pointless matches after the season. The whole system is a complete mess and its a mess because football has become driven by the very few

That statement has made me far, far angrier about this issue than I was yesterday. These arrogant bastards think they can dictate our national game. These arrogant bastards have the brass neck to think they can buy off the rest of the game with a few crumbs in a week when the top three sides in the so-called "best league in the world" all went out of European competitions all on the basis of something that might happen to them once in a blue moon. These arrogant bastards are the reason that independent regulation is coming to football and its arrival can't come soon enough. Sadly, given the way I feel at the moment, I fear it may be too late for me to care if this action is not reversed.

Perhaps trying to get things done before a regulator is set up and can water down their plans. Who knows.

Would you like to see what Germany do being introduced? Seeding for the first couple of rounds and the big clubs must play away matches?

Is that right? I feel like I haven't quite got that right.

Yes I would. Clubs from division 3 and below have the option to play home or away regardless of whether they are drawn out first or second. Therefore if, say, Münster are drawn at home to Bayern or BVB, they can play away and make a financial killing.

Oh they have the choice? I looked at the last few years and it seemed like those lower clubs always picked a home draw.

Mostly they do, but as far as I know, unless the rule has changed, they have a choice. Certainly they are given the right of a home game, even if drawn out second.

National league and PL thinking of creating a new competition with the Premier league Under 21 teams involved.

So are the Under 21s going to pull out of the EFL trophy and play in this lower down instead?
