He was forced to waive it. Edit: none of the sales proceeds went back to him, they all went to Ukrainian humanitarian causes (allegedly).
They have? They cheated to capture the player that captained them to their premier league and champions league title?
Ignore him. He's just one of these sad pathetic weirdo's that actually take the trouble of making account on forums just to troll. I suppose it takes him away from his usual stuff, visiting his pedophile ring forums or beating up teenagers So they got lucky and had what? A Billion quid or whatever just wiped off and allowed to start with a clean slate.
I think the debt had all been converted to equity anyway, so Chelsea didn't technically owe Abramovich anything. He would have been hoping to recoup his spend when he sold the club but the Russian invasion meant this happened sooner than expected and he didn't get to see a single penny of the sale proceeds.
My understanding was there was 1.6bil of debt to ambramoivhc and it was "forgiven" and put to a "charitable trust"
The easiest way around all of this cheating is to basically say that any club found guilty of cheating is simply going to have their league membership revoked with immediate effect, in essence meaning the business ceases operating! Cut out all this fannying about with how many points deductions different clubs get, just go straight for the jugular. Removes all the grey areas and every club knows what will happen. Hopefully that will be enough for our crazy owner to stop wasting money on the likes of Divock ****ing Origi purely so his son can have a photo with him like the spoilt brat he is
Things might actually.sink in now. The rules are not even designed to stop this at allowing -105mil rolling losses on the promise from owners to cover it
There’s been murmurs of interested parties waiting in the wings for Everton. If this doesn’t bring them out of the woodwork then they simply weren’t there in the first place. I think what might happen is another party buys Everton with restructuring the debts to MSP/777/Bell/R&MF and them each getting an hand in the stadium revenue for x amount of years. Grim really isn’t it.
What an absolute shitshow of a season this one is. It's going to be decided after the seasons finished isn't it?
He'll never get a bigger club than Everton imo he'll be there until he gets sacked or Everton go under.
It is grim. It's a prime location to link with the smaller venues to be a major concert location and I'm sure these people are looking at it as a very useful revenue stream that will take the money out of everton's pocket. We only need look at the massive success White Hart Lane is for spurs (not fans par se) and we can see why thry are interested. It'd be a crying shame if Everton lose this or a portion of this revenue due to bad owners or dodgy sales.
This won't affect them this season though. Anyone going down this season might take some interest in this if they lose points. True but he might want one that is stable and not always on the edge.
