I'll trust you since Exeter has been in League Two for the past 9 years and that you definitely know way more League Two knowledge than me. I would like to know your reasons though.
Money Although my league two knowledge isn't very relevant when it comes to Stockport as they've been in the national league for our entire stint in league two! But in my defence, they have a lot of players who have recently played high end L2 that were stand-outs in the division which I am familiar with plus players that were more than good enough for L1, coupled with some other talented individuals and an unlimited bank balance for this level.
Just had a look at bet365 as I put Stockport in my season long acca, but this is what the table would look like based on title chances Salford Stockport Bradford Mansfield Swindon Northampton Doncaster Gillingham Leyton Orient Tranmere Walsall Wimbledon Crewe Grimsby Newport Sutton Carlisle Colchester Harrogate Stevenage Crawley Hartlepool Rochdale Barrow
Ugh this is like a who's who of clubs that pretty much always manage to get themselves out of this division in the past couple of decades. I'm saying at least 2 out of the 4 auto spots go to these teams.
Stockport can book that runway slot at Manchester Airport now...question is what stadium are they going to overfly with their banner - I reckon Bradford. They'll do Wrexham again of course, as Chesterfield are beating them 6-5 in the play-off semi with a double hat-trick from Tshimanga...
1. Bradford Anything after that I don't care really. Can't see Salford doing anything again despite being high in the betting. I expect Stockport, Mansfield, Walsall, Orient and Carlisle to be up there. Crawley and Harrogate to go down.
Currently we'll get bottom half. Depending on recruitment, which we have a recent history of being worse than crap at, we could get top 7. Expectation for us should be top 7 minimum though, as we shouldn't have been relegated.
Not expecting nothing more than mid table for us this season, some very strange comings and goings here at rodney parade.
Stockport? The last leam to dominate the National League, 90+ points and big winning margin into League 2 were Macclesfield.
1) Northampton 2) Bradford 3) Stockport ............................................................... 4) Salford 5) Mansfield 6) Walsall 7) Gillingham ( play off winners ) ............................................................... 8) Swindon ............................................................... 22) Rochdale ............................................................... 23) Barrow 24) Harrogate
1. Mansfield Town 2. Leyton Orient 3. Sutton United 4. Stockport County 5. Bradford City 6. Salford City 7. Walsall ... 23. Crewe Alexandra 24. Hartlepool United
Time to change this 1. Salford City 2. Colchester (Before you ask, they have the 3rd highest valued squad in League Two according to Transfermarkt) 3. Mansfield Town 4. Swindon Town 5. Doncaster 6. Northampton 7. Gillingham 8. Tranmere Rovers 9. Leyton Orient 10. Rochdale 11. Sutton United 12. Bradford City 13. Newport County 14. Wimbledon 15. Crewe Alexandra 16. Stockport County (Don't have a good enough squad) 17. Stevenage 18. Crawley Town 19. Grimbsy Town (See Stockport) 20. Barrow 21. Walsall 22. Harrogate Town 23. Carlisle United 24. Hartlepool Salford to win the league by about 7-8 points. Colchester to surprise the world and get 2nd. Mansfield to Rochdale fight for confirmed and play-off spot. Walsall, Harrogate, Carlisle and Hartlepool to fight for survival Looking at the squad value though, the two promoted teams should easily be relegated but I for some reason don't think so.
I’m intrigued, what about Salford’s previous 11th, 8th and 10th place finishes makes you think they will win the league at such a canter ?
I don't watch League Two so I'll let others judge. Not everyone's going to be happy with these values but I think its the most fair. I also got angry when Son Heung Min didn't get valued at 100 million pounds. Just feel like they'll win it one day and assuming it'll be this season.
