I've backed us for promotion at 5/1 & Forest Green in a relegation double with the yo yoing Rotherham so hope your predictions are correct . Always said you're a wise ol' sage Panja
Think Peterborough, Wednesday and Ipswich will be the strongest teams based on what relatively little I know. Bookies back that up. Our name is in there because the size of the club but it’s such a huge job I imagine we’ll be off the pace and that will become evident pretty early on.
For me Wednesday, Bolton and Ipswich , Derby at best for a 6th, 7th place, just watching our club again knowing we have a club, is good enough for now, will be there as i have for the last 43 years.
Wednesday look the strongest to me, beyond that there are probably 10 teams who could easily be in the mix. Have to wait and see if Ladapo and John-Jules can add the firepower to turn us from nearly men into genuine contenders, who knows. I agree that Bolton could well be up there, if only because they murdered us last year and keep improving.
Starting to take shape a bit now. Do fancy us to make a mark this year. Made a couple of good signings to as already strong squad. Think As Thijssen says , Wednesday look strong too, Ipswich will figure. Derbys late start to recruiting will probably affect them. Don’t think a year consolidating will do them any damage, think they will probably have a strong second half of the season. Pompey probably will challenge, as will Oxford. Not convinced with the other two relegated sides, nor the promoted sides, maybe Bristol Rovers as an outsider. Think MK have lost too much of last year’s squad , but they do seem to recruit well, so maybe. Plymouth, another maybe for play offs, Wycombe, like them as a club, but horrible to watch. Eyebrows raised by the business Shrewsbury have done, they might well figure. Bottom end, difficult to see past Morecambe and Fleetwood, think FGR will join them and maybe Cheltenham.

It really is refreshing to see the bigger clubs fans on forums and Twitter acknowledging we’ve made some good signings and questioning how we can get them. A couple of weeks ago things seemed to be heading the same way as the last transfer window but 6 signings done with 4 weeks to go until the first game. I’m feeling very positive about the upcoming season, things are in a much better place than 11 months ago, we just need a couple more signings and the new kit to be announced now and we’re ready to go. This division is stronger than in 17/18 when we finished 3rd so will be tough to target the play-offs though it’s achievable, maybe judge again after 10 games. I think with the team we have we should be top half, will try and make a full prediction later.
With the signings you’ve made, there’s a good chance you be the Argyle of last season. From lower half obscurity, have an impressive summer transfer window, and then be right up there challenging in the top six. Certainly wouldn’t put it past Cotterill.
I do think if you continue where you left off last season you’ll progress in to the play offs. Hopefully a full pre-season with Schumacher will sort you right out for another pop at promotion.

I do try Garrincha. LOL. I hope you’re right. So far so good with Sandor Berge,( fingers crossed), looks like we’ve recruited fairly well, although MGW is an impossible act to follow. Rarely seen the like at the Lane. Having said that, the lad we’ve recruited from Malmo is being heralded by all and sundry but I’m not convinced that blinding opposition players with your skill and ability in the Swedish 1st division will automatically translate to the Championship which is a beast of a league. Signed a lad on loan from Citeh and in the bidding for Ciaran Clarke at Newcastle. cheers
