“Enforced due to the changes of the UEFA competitions”. So why change R1 and R2?

Shocking change, completely devaluing the competition

So a non league team gets a draw away to a league club, no money spinning replay on TV

Horsham (at Barnsley) and Cray Valley (at Charlton) spring to mind this season

On the fence with this tbh.
The Prem can **** off with their moaning about too many games mind you. Humongous squads and hoovering up local youth talent to fester in an U23 league.

But I think back to games we had Vs Spurs and Newcastle in recent years. Late equalisers with us on top. ET and penalties we could have won. A replay away, with a strengthed opposition after a scare and the opposition kills us off. Novelty of a decent FL or PL ground is great. But getting battered after coming so close isn't.

Good far too many games, I just hope they make up for it by filtering money down to the lower league clubs.

Yep, hopefully teams like Leicester receive some of the flitered down money. Would help with some of their financial regs issues.

The PL have some gall deciding what the EFL should be made to do. Clubs should boycott it until they reverse it and talk as equals as they are.

If Taunton and Truro can put out a team to play near enough every other day this month I'm sure Premier League teams and little old Leicester can survivor playing 1 or 2 extra games a season with all their world class facilities, bigger squad depth and multiple fitness coaches, sport scientist's, physios.

    Pack it in

they’ll just jet off abroad to the Middle East or US in any breaks they get for mid season nonsense like what happened this year in the “winter break”

They can get ****ed. I’ve had a couple of cracking days out watching us in FA Cup replays, going to places you never usually get to go, and making a few quid along the way.

If they don’t want replays they should try taking the cup seriously and play a strong team in it

Latest statement just talks about TV scheduling and nothing else really.

Talk about reading the room. They are in trouble now

And TV scheduling where they always prioritise Prem teams anyway. All more televised fixtures will do is allow Prem teams to get more TV money when they inevitably chosen

I bet those crying about this are at the same time crying about the owner not investing enough, and then when the financial side of it goes tits up they cry even more...so they shout at the big clubs asking for a hand out.

I''ve got the upmost respect for smaller well ran clubs working with a budget within their means but some of the responses are hypocritical.
