    What a load of w*nk.

We shouldn't be getting beat on our own ground 3-0 to a League One side, even if most of the players were back up ones. And £15 for that shite, deary me.

Credit to them though, they deserved the win. Well done Swansea, brilliant support and they sang their hearts out for 90 minutes. Best team to come to Bramall Lane this season. All the best in the next round.

heard warnock on radio sheff , hes been sick all week , but was more than a little annoyed by the attitude of the 8 given a chance today , , he praised monty , but after that was as annoyed as we all are , its always a gamble changing a full team but some were just not bothered and may be off to pastures new

he also said iffill is joining palace on monday

Keeps happening though doesn,t it,colchester, birmingham, swansea he puts out weak teams and doesn,t give a toss about people paying 15 quid or more to get in.I disagree about the back up players being good enough,I go down the lane whenever I get back to Sheff and my family and friends have season tickets,we all reckon that some of these players just aren,t good enough.
Why if Warnock doesn,t care about the cup didn,t he give some of the transfer listed players a run out, shop window and all that.
Warnock ought to be as annoyed as we are,but he picks the team and the team he picked today was a joke.
    Thank god Trundle wasn,t playing.

That's what I thought. When we were 3-0 down I turned to my mate and said 'And this is without Trundle'.

Twice this season I've left the Lane feeling like I have been taken for a twat. That's two times too ****ing many. Set of *****. To be honest I find the attitude of the club towards Cup competitions a total disgrace. How you can charge people good money to watch a second string piss about and not give a ****ing flying shit whether they loose or not is just beyond me.

The priority is to stay up. Id rather get knocked out now than in a couple of round which cost more money.

Its the performance that disapoints me rather than the result. To be honest, I expected us to loose.

We,d all rather stay up than go another couple of rounds in the cup,the point is Warnock puts out intentionally weak sides in the cups on a regular basis lately and that is simply treating the paying public like sh#t even though you can see why he does it.

The club ought to be charged with bringing the game into disrepute, the match was thrown, as was the league cup game against Birmingham.

I wouldnt call this season and last a regular basis.

Last season we had to get up, this we have to stay up.

Normal service will be resumed next year

I thought I'd come on here now I'd calmed down from yesterday but then I see the comments of Doncasterblade aka Warnock Clone.............

We can concentrate on the League now, the League is our priority, these are just the comments I knew Neil would come out with when I was drivin home from the match. Infact I could probably have done his interviews as I've heard it all before and the man thinks the fans are naive........this comes from someone who calls himself a Blades Fan. :slap: Tell me this what would his reaction have been if he was part of the paying public and a United Manager put a team out that played like that........would he go off the deep end like he does at the officials ........:confused

This man thinks we are all mugs!! In his interview he also stated a number of players ASKED not to play as they were in negotiations with other clubs....WHAT. These players are employed at the moment by Sheffield United Football Club and if they are required to play they play, what would my employers say if I said I wont be coming into work today cos I'm thinking of leaving to go an work for someone else........... OK no problem, I dont think so!

I noticed from highlights on MOTD a number of teams picked strong teams and players who are transfer targets for example wasnt nugent playing for Preston n Watford played a team to gain some confidence from a win, so why do SUFC bow down to player power??

I cant believe Mr Warnock sat in the stand for the 1st half and didnt see anything comin, ok in the first half Swansea didnt create too many chances and we did look in control but werent they gonna come an have a go at us????

Then in the second half he decides to come down to the touchline and start shoutin and bemoaning the team he chose. Once we went behind he didnt even have a back up plan on the bench not one forward and definately no leadership to put on the pitch.

I must say that even though their performances werent great Monty, Armstrong and Alan Quinn covered as much ground as they could and tried their hearts out for the cause but Gerrard (poor, he could have prevented the first two goals) Bromby (shambolic) Sommiel (not good enough) Geary (why was he further forward than Hurst for most of the match ??) Hurst (poor and missed our best chances, will he get another chance) Kazim Richards (one trick pony and not good enough) Webber (Embarrassing) and Nade (you know my thoughts and a wonder goal against arsenal does not give you rights to think you've arrived) made sure a professional not sparkling Swansea had enough to beat us.

Nicky Law and Stephen Quinn injected some life into us and some passion but by then the damage was done, even against League One opposition it was plain to see we still need at quality Midfielder to create and a forward who is clinical and now we need a Keeper immediately or Pompey will stuff us on Saturday.

A final observation was the pitch does anyone else think we need to get this relaid??? :hmmm

I know a flat pitch will help our opponents during the second of the season but it really doesnt do our players any favours either with the lumps and bumps all over it and bad bounce could cost us dear.......perhaps the club might want to use the extra approx £60,000 they must have pocketed from the £4 programmes to get the pitch sorted.

Rant over and no doubt a good day back at work can be expected as we get the Pee took out of us tomorrow  by the Blue side of the city

I was very angry on saturday night , but in the cold light of monday morning we are a business , and our main aim is to stay up.Winning the fa cup was unlikely and a run to say round 5 would have been a distraction and a source of possible injury to key players. We need to stay up , and consolidate as a prem team , miles above any other option as football today is all about money , and thats what the prem provides. Romantic notions of cup glory must take a back seat to this harsh reality, as they did last year to achieve promotion . We are in a results business , and league results are our first priority.
Warnock possibly thought the team he put was strong enough to get a result , but it didnt perform as a unit. It is possible we could have played well and still have lost to a deflected shot or a dodgy pen , whatever we are out of the cup but still have 16 cup ties this season , with a greater financial outcome for the club

    :zzz

He was as angry and gutted as we was. The team as individuals where good enough to win, but changing the whole side upset the balance and the rythem.

We will win a cup in the next few years, just once we have cemented our place in this league

I would rather us be out now, than draw Pompy away, spend £100 and loose there.

Look, I don't think any of us care about the cup to be honest, you seem to be missing the point, it's the nature of the exit that ****s people off. We are losing 3-0 at home to a third division club with half and hour to go and passing around the defence like we are playing for time, which we were. Come on it's just a ****ing joke.

in a cup match , does it really matter what the score is ,

macclesfield were hailed as heroes , but lost 1-6
everton lost 1-4 with their strongest team
charlton lost 0-2 at forest , and looked poor in the pre match kick in
aston villa gave man utd a rewally good game , but in the end are out

liverpool had home advantage to a team we beat , and went as far as us

Yes but again your missing the point, treating the competition with outright contempt and charging people £15 quid to do so is pretty wrong. In fact it's almost obscene.

The FA impose laws which prevent us charging less than £15.

Take your Swansea stub to the ticket office and get a free £5 voucher for the club shop. :rolleyes

    its never nice losing
but warnock gave several fringe players a chance to prove a point

better to give them a chance in a competition where 91 other clubs will be disapointed, than lose a point or 3 in a key game in our fund raising prem season
