Bringing the tone down here but Cap picking up the hammer was pretty cool. A random one, anyone who watched Boardwalk Empire. Slight spoiler: Spoiler When Eli shows up with Al Capone towards the end of season 3. Boardwalk was by and large a 'slow' show but the possibility of Capone showing up and causing mayhem was super exciting.
That whole episode was superb. The escape from the hotel was a great one episode arc, especially after what had just happened the previous episode. A scene I haven't seen mentioned yet, that I think is more or less a perfect action scene, is the Sarlaac pit in Return of the Jedi. John Williams' score in particular is superb.
Royle Family. Jim and Twiggy taking off the wallpaper with a spatula and then they start dancing to Mambo Number Five by Lou Bega.
The end of series scene of Blackadder Goes Forth. I saw it when it first aired on TV and it was an absolute gut-punch. (semi-spoilery)
the scene where rust guides/drags the guy through the neighborhood as gangs start shooting and cops show up from the the "who goes there" episode of the first season of true detective. i tried to post it, but youtube wouldn't let me.
Just watched that the other day . Along with their absolutely futile attempts to strip the wallpaper off which would literally take a whole week if you did it like that
In future episodes they never finished the job as you can see the ripped paper. Creases me up that scene.
Jaws,. Quint on the boat telling Brodie and Hooper about the ship he was on that was sunk and the sharks were picking off the men one by one. Chilling and based on a true story.
In the original Planet Of The Apes movie the scene when Charlton Heston finally speaks "Take your stinking paws off me, you damn dirty ape "
Not sure if I should put this in a spoiler or not as it may be something people haven’t seen yet? From Better Call Saul Spoiler
A couple of scenes from one of my favourite movies. Julia Roberts is a powerhouse and Albert Finney nails the supporting role.
