We've been desperate for one since Mascherano left. Said it at the time but if we had that in 2014 we'd have won the league. We've been weak in midfield since Mascherano and Alonso left. We've only got by without it when we've had Suarez and Sturridge. We need that spine of a reliable goalkeeper, a commanding centre back and a solid CDM.
We just need a solid dm, there's not a need to spend huge on a name but a need to spend to get the right one. Stewart has looked good there because he keeps the shape, hasn't been stupid with his decisions & has legs. The Camacho rumours for £4m would be decent, certainly for squad. If him & Matip could cheaply improve two positions, then go big on a keeper, and winger/st. We're still desperate for another quick goalscorer in AM/wing, we lack total goal threat from midfield and penetration after the big three. Replace Benteke too, I'd really quite like Michy from Marseille, almost Sturridge 2.0. Was sat next to some Augsburg, I was just as miffed as them at the penalty!
If you are going to throw stats out then sure but Origi has much more potential imo and he ain't being kept out of the side by Steven Fletcher aswell
That must be difficult considering Batshuayi has played in basically every game for Marseille this season Ones having a great season in Ligue 1 while the other was voted into the leagues worst 11 last season
