It's funny you should post that then, as I was just reading this from @King_Kenny And it got me thinking about how well the Liverpool fans had done throughout this thread
Well, that's a point! ....but it would be way easier for me to name my top 10 albums than this "top10" songs. The albums are "cut in stone" for me for years. The songs, oh well, are more "situation depending" (can't explain it properly in english, sorry) Well, that's another good idea. tbh I'm ashamed that I sometimes bought Albums because of its beautiful covers (and here I mean the old LP albums, just for explanation for our kids here in the thread who maybe don't know about it) only to determin later that the cover of the album was the best of it and here's me who thought that @Muller is of German descent, emigrated to Yemen and actually lives in Narnia?
@Tomohawk Thank you for having the idea for this thread and for all the time and effort you have put in mate. It has been a pleasure to take part in it. The reveals have always happened while I have been sleeping so my ritual was to not look until I was going to work on the train. What do I do now? @BleedsIsDead - thanks for compiling the Spotify playlist and for taking the time to update it I would love to tag everyone who participated in this but there is too many! Thanks to you all for your choices. I listened to some stuff that I probably wouldn’t have given the time of day to. There were a lot of songs in that list that I didn’t think I would like but I did. A thought for a fun one for the future, but our younger viewers might struggle with a bit, Favourite 80’s song!!
I was actually going to suggest going the other way and having FF’s Song Of The Year at the end of 2019. Now I’ve introduced everyone to CAS & RTJ I need to turn my focus to getting everyone listening to the worlds faster rapper; Brighton’s very own, Ocean Wisdom. (1:52 for anyone who wants to see just how fast )
I've finally got round to listening to those links you posted. Loved them all, I'm a big fan of artists that do covers but put their own spin on it. I love the idea of that rock style version of Chasing Cars as a wedding song
@Tomohawk only just got round to this, but thanks mate. Thanks to you I’ve discovered loads of songs I’d known but never been able to put a title to, and songs I’d never heard that I love. Ran smoothly throughout. Beer on me when Fulham come to the City Ground!
I'll raid my piggy bank and make that the one game I go to this season then... Thanks though mate, glad you enjoyed it and have been able to take something out of it
@Tomohawk - you’re infamous for this - Radio X have completely nicked your format for this and are using it for their top 100 British songs
I'm thinking one of my favourite tracks of all time might have been ripped from Jethro Tull.....love this track only having just heard it....can you guess the other track?
Shine on you crazy diamond is a better Floyd track than comfortably numb IMO......I'm a big Queen fan as well, but frankly I prefer The Prophet's song over Bo Rhap generally......used to love Stairway to heaven, but not that bothered about it now....but it's all about opinions I guess?....and the result is accumulative.....I think also a given mood at certain times can dictate preferences.
