How many teenagers have taken penalties though? Like how many penalties had Harry Kane taken at the age of 19?

It doesn't mean you're not good at them. It must be pretty hard to take the ball ahead of the senior players when you're so young. They're just gonna pull rank on you.

But you can lose the shoot-out on these kicks as well.

Surely you gotta go in order of ability, so if Rashford is better than Saka then he goes before him.

Whilst it is the internet so it's far from the full picture, the reaction to the pen misses has been weird. They have a tiny group of people making angry racist remarks but then a far bigger group grovelling at their feet, presumably to counter that. Strange times.

Aren’t they trying to support the players against the racism though rather than due to the missed penalties ?

There's condeming the racists and groveling at feet. I don't think I'd want a mural done of me if I'd just missed a pen for England.

The mural was painted last October/November.

That lad is worthy of a mural if he never scored a penalty again.

It's actually a giant poster, the '3 kings' one. I suppose in some ways it shows how people aren't tolerating the bad stuff but if I were one of those players I'd feel weird as ****.

Even ignoring the unacceptable comments and just considering it as a sort of "support vs hate", a larger group supporting Sancho, Saka and Rashford is a good thing in my opinion, there's no point turning the knives on the lads who missed the penalties, it'll hurt like **** no matter what and penalties are a lottery.

Given, though, that there will be a sizeable amount of people making unacceptable comments, whether that be racist comments or threats against the players, I don't think much if any of the support is over the top.

I don't really think there's much of a problem with over the top support, to be honest. If somebody wants to put up a massive three kings poster then fair enough to them, it's not something I'd do but it doesn't harm anyone.

Nah, Stretford, it's a different one. Looking at it Sport Bible have their logo on it so they're probably just using it as an oppertunity to advertise.

There's certainly no problem with showing some support but I'm just trying to empathise with the players. They musy be confused to say the least right now.

The one that was vandalised is the one above, I'm not aware of another one so it seems we're at cross purposes. :shrug

It's called support. Genuine support is there through good times and bad.

Worst thing is it's from all the part time football fans who didn't show the slightest bit of interest until we got through the quarters.
