I think the large majority of football fans don't agree and think the abuse online is ridiculous. But a large majority are working class. They don't subscribe to the notion that you respond, you take knee's and you make a fuss about a select few idiots who have a platform to cause attention. The statistics around the whole thing are laughable I'd imagine. It'll be in the 0.001% of fans who actually respond with this tripe. The players shouldn't have to put up with it..... but the social media companies should allow it also. It's generating them wealth right now....... I'd love a English player to come out and banter it. To throw it back at them. They're the millionaires...... they're the ones who've succeeded. My thoughts, sorry is late. I felt the substitutions in the final were poor, the penalty takers brought on needed to be on way earlier so they could get a feel for the ball, as their penalties were basically their first touch of the game. Southgate seems to be incredibly loyal to his starting 11, multiple times in the tournament he subbed subs and hesitates in subbing his first 11, but end of the day we did reach the final so he did something right. I felt the team put in a shift in the games I watched, and any abuse been dealt on social media is out of order.
