So genuine football fans don't support the players and think the racism is unacceptable?

Or are you just talking about the reaction by some such as covering the Rashford mural saying its all a bit OTT?

Neither, just sick of being preached too about how football is rife with racist thugs by people who pay zero attention to it except when they can jump on the feel good bandwagon.

Wasn't the mural done for his charitable work?

The worst aspect of the 'tournament' fans are they know F-All about football.

Hence 'the nasty Italian man should have got a red for pulling back our brave boy' etc etc..

Yes. It's near where he grew up I think..

Heard at least 3/4 people shouting to give him a red in the pub I was in when that happened.

    Embarrassing.

I laughed tbh! Just that photo - old warhorse Italian defender and the young buck. It's a classic.

    And obviously never a red.

As I said at the time, never a red out on the touchline like that, 60 yards from goal.

Jorginho's studs into Grealish on the other hand, let's just say I've seen them given.

Yes can imagine the Grealish one being VAR'd as a red. Christ that looked painful!

The best thing was the disgust of PL players being amazed about having to 'get up and get on with it' after minor challenges...Hopefully the refs here were watching.

Especially the hand/fingers brushing the face and the play not stopping for them.

I don't want to pile on the agony, but that's the clownish reaction of our commentators.
Basically they are thanking God for 'giving us football' and one of them (Giuseppe Bergomi) start screaming seeking for an hug

I think the large majority of football fans don't agree and think the abuse online is ridiculous.

But a large majority are working class. They don't subscribe to the notion that you respond, you take knee's and you make a fuss about a select few idiots who have a platform to cause attention.

The statistics around the whole thing are laughable I'd imagine. It'll be in the 0.001% of fans who actually respond with this tripe.

The players shouldn't have to put up with it..... but the social media companies should allow it also. It's generating them wealth right now.......

I'd love a English player to come out and banter it. To throw it back at them. They're the millionaires...... they're the ones who've succeeded.

Don't take the pity option and give the t*ats what they want.

I hated it for the likes of Saka..... he's too young and doesn't deserve it. But FFS....... it's such a small issue. Attack it don't cower under it.

It's a strange phenomenon, people committing crimes and filming themselves doing it and then uploading it onto the internet.

Reminds me of those ****wits that stormed the Capitol building. The need for attention online supersedes the self interest of not having a criminal record it seems.

As per your post, They are fckwits. Why else would you film and upload details of your crime, so you can be prosecuted.

    My thoughts, sorry is late.

I felt the substitutions in the final were poor, the penalty takers brought on needed to be on way earlier so they could get a feel for the ball, as their penalties were basically their first touch of the game.

Southgate seems to be incredibly loyal to his starting 11, multiple times in the tournament he subbed subs and hesitates in subbing his first 11, but end of the day we did reach the final so he did something right.

I felt the team put in a shift in the games I watched, and any abuse been dealt on social media is out of order.
