Neither, we have roundabouts in this country. I wouldn't want my shiny new car stranded in the middle of one.
Yeah I couldn't handle that shit, because sod's law dictates I would get red on every one of the bastards Roundabouts and Give Way for the win!
yeah i run alot of traffic lights coz u can have a mile long road with 10 traffic lights on it, roundabouts are the way to go, but here in america all the roads are straight and cross each other, oh yeah and give way signs are better coz i already have 2 tickets for running stops signs
Much rather save my pennies for a Corvette Z06, which besides its other attributes currently holds the production car lap record for the awesome Nurburgring Nordschleife at a hair over 7 min 20 sec... For 14 miles and 170 or so corners. FWWWOOOAAARRR!!!
The Z06 Isn't that fast, Maybe a different Corvette race model. This is infact the fastest production road car on the Nurburgring, The Radical SR8 with a lap time of 6 min 55 secs, And it's an English car http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwtyZosuPNE The fastest time for a Corvette ZO6 is 7 min 42 secs, Driven by Jan Magnussen
the ZR1 model did 7:26, dodge viper acr did it in 7:22 just this august. -- does the radical actually count as a production car? I think the record for the radical is considered the best for road-legal cars, but not production
Thats hardly a production car now is it... Is it even road legal ??? I believe the fastest time ever is Stefan Bellof 6mnts 11secs or sumthn considering that Niki Luada took around 7 mnts......... That is quality...
That Bellof lap was in a Porsche 956, Group C prototype with around 1000 bhp and ground effects for qualifying. Bellof was well on his way to being the next great German racer when he tried to take Eau Rouge at Spa two-wide with local legend Jacky Ickx... And yes, the Z06 is currently the quickest prod car at the Ring, Magnussen(factory Corvette driver)putting down the 7:20 just recently. And(for good measure)GM also took a Cadillac CTS-V sedan to Germany and put down a 7:43 lap, making it the fastest production saloon on the Ring... PS...Think you'll find that the Radical SR8 is a production racing car, mass-produced to compete at club level in the UK and elsewhere. Great in-car footage--the beauty of the Nordschleife is that anyone with the right amount of euros can have a go... Hmmm, wonder how my cargo van would make out??
Corvette and a Cadillac fastest ??? Thats only beacause BMW and co kee their times secret Schumi was rumoured to have clocked a low 7mnts in the new scud.....
So you think a cadillac is faster than a M3 or GtR or a RS4 ??? Then no ways that caddy was in stock condition.....
Buy a dodge Challenger Srt/8 same engine as the charger except much nicer looking or buy a used dodge ram srt/10 the fastest pickup in the world - it has the vipers engine :O
do you believe any car that runs under 8:30 is in stock condition? and I don't need an opinion on whether the CTS-V is faster than the current M3 or RS4 around the ring or not, the stopwatch said it is. Really I was responding to where you said BMW numbers are secret and they obviously are not as they are available for all to see.
Sorry, andu11, you can go to your local Cadillac dealer and buy a CTS-V off the showroom floor for about 80 large--it comes with the suspension package from the 'Vette and a mildly detuned version of the big engine...
Yes it's currently a production road car, I know it looks abit mean and fast, But you can buy them for the road today how that is. You are thinking of the ZR1 Model, Not Z06, Nurburgring has it's very own official website with the up to date times on there, Also times are available on Wikipedia. The Radical currently holds the record for the fastest production road car lap time for the Nurburgring The video above is proof of what im saying too.
If there is one thing us Aussies have in common with the yanks its we love our V8's....Although they are in huge decline over here with every man and his dog switching from the classic Aussie sedan to the Import 4wd Suv's. Both are nice , seeing as I own two fords one being a 4.6L V8 I 'll pick the mustang.
