Rarely been more surprised by a result. Nantes usually do well in those. Well done Toulouse. There still is a doubt on whether they'll be able to play EL games as their owners are the same as Milan's so if Milan don't make it to the CL, a choice will have to be made...
I did hear reports Barca wanted him back but but not sure how likely that is as they are meant to be saving money .
Nah. He'll end up with the Saudis. Pretty sure that's the reason why we suspended him. Had he gone to Ibiza, he would have got a slap on the wrist. Promoting Qatar's rival is a huge slap in the face for Doha.
Lyon v Montpellier What the fook man? 4 goals for Lacazette, 4 goals for Wahi. Montpellier were 4-1 up with half an hour to play!
I can understand that changing the colours of the number(s) on your back to help the LGBT cause is a tad over the top but refusing to play is taking things a bit far. It is what players are paid to do. Clubs should apply a wage fine to all players refusing to play no matter the cricumstances.
I'm not sure that's right. Is it not down to their religious beliefs that they dont support homosexuality?
That's a pretty poor argument. France is a country that has freedom of choice. But not exclusively to sexual persuasion. Freedom of religion also exists, and the two are obviously conflicting in many instances. So why does lgbtq take precedence over religion?
No it isn't. You are being granted the honour of being a professional footballer, and with that comes certain responsibilities that relate to that country's culture. If France wants to promote inclusivity then you are promoting inclusivity, simple as that. If you have an issue with it - then go somewhere that doesn't want to promote inclusivity and get paid handsomely to do so.
They have the freedom to be intolerant, yes. Defending people's right to be intolerant is tiresome at the best of times, but defending the right to intolerance for someone being paid thousands of pounds a week is insane to me. Football has done amazing work being tolerant of religion, but has a long way to go when it comes to sexuality. These players are ignorant and petulant - imagine being a fan in the stands who recognises as LGBT and facing this. Disgraceful.
