Hmmm....I'm no at all confident and I think any remnant of a title challenge ends today. We might not lose, but I can't see anything more than a point unless there is a massive shift in the quality we have shown in recent weeks. In short it's today or never and the players need to grow some balls and realise that. Mo needs to step up, he's been shit and phoning his games in for weeks. Darwin has been even more hit and miss than normal and the midfield, which was so reliable in the first half of the season, has gone off the boil with even Mac struggling in the last few games. And the defence has remained prone to stupid individual errors resulting in zero confidence of being able to hold onto a lead, even when we can get one in the first place rather than the usual shit of coming from behind. Even Klopp himself as shown some strange bloody tactics and decisions, both in the timings of changes, and those changes themselves. I'd love to win this, perhaps the players will prove me wrong and all turn up to remind me how we can play. But a draw is nailed on I reckon and we'll see Jurgen's last season finish like a wet fart. 1-1 Still, we have one piece of silverware in the cabinet and we're guaranteed top 4 pretty much no matter what, so the new manager whoever that is has a good basis to start on. Small mercies and all that.
Fulham are in form. Our players seem to have given up on the season. Best time to play LFC. I won't be surprised if Fulham win this.
Just about beat them at Anfield not confident of doing it again sadly. Hopefully team surprises me. Game prediction: 2-2.
Depends on which Fulham turns up today. Need a bit more luck to go our way then what we've had recently. Not had that much this season against Liverpool. Not fooled by Liverpool fans having a wobble, as you now have a fit back 4 and can play Robertson VVD, Alisson & TAA which will make you stronger.
Having those players fit is definitely a boost but they've also only played 3 games together this season so I'm not expecting that back 5 to be instantly back upto speed either.
Klopp has a shite record away with Silva sides. Be a nice time for that to change. Fulham have given Liverpool a good game 3 times already this season.
Do I not like that side he's put out...we're not winning this game thats for sure. No Salah, Nunez, Konate, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Jones Alisson Trent---Quansah---Van Dijk---Robertson Elliott---Endo--Gravenberch Gapko---Jota---Diaz
In a way I'm glad Salah has been benched, he's been shit. Just seen the lineup, it's a bit strange but it's good to see things being changed up a bit. We've become stale as f**k. Not sure I'd be starting either Gakpo or Diaz though, the former has never impressed me in a Liverpool shirt and the latter has been poor recently.
Klopp clearly unhappy with the regulars. Trying to make a point, when there is still a very faint chance for the league, is well...
Actually glad salah's on the bench today. He needed this wake up call. If he still plays the way he does like how he did in the past few games, we need to squeeze as much $$ as we can for him to leave. Also happy with Nunez on the bench too. Gravenberch is my main concern here. Otherwise, looking good. Having faith in Jota.
Thing is with Salah, I can't see any club offering what we would for him, combined with somewhere he'd be willing to go. I've already said I don't think he will be interested in Saudi, or at least before his quality goes down the shitter (and before the obvious sarcastic comment about his recent quality, I think we know it's a motivation/fitness thing right now). So what other clubs need him, would pay what we'd want (north of £100m), and who he'd go to? I can't really think of anywhere bar batshit outfits like PSG. Pretty confident he'll still be here when the new manager rocks up.
Changes were needed. You can't keep throwing the same XI out and hoping for a change. I just don't see it with Elliot. A lot of movement with little product from him.
Yeah, imagine playing down a game at a ground where we've failed to win in the last 3 visits. Almost like City vs Luton, eh @njmcfc1894 ?
Stated two irrefutable facts? Klopp has never beaten Silva away from home, and Fulham did give Liverpool good games in the previous 3 meetings this season. Or did that last minute comeback at Anfield slip your tiny mind?
