Italy look ok, but Turkey parking two buses probably making them look better than they are. Too many fevered handball claims as well. Longer they hold out, more I can see Turkey somehow mugging them....which would actually be piss funny.
That's what I was thinking, can you actually be offside from a corner kick? Also, 10/10 for the dive in the first half for the Turkish striker. He really put 100% into it.

Touch of fortune about the goal but I'm sure Italy will go on to win by a couple now they have the lead. Seems to me they could ideally do with a playmaker, which might be Verratti. They're very neat and tidy but are missing a certain something.
I think this Italy side flatter to deceive. They’re doing well against a Turkey side who are playing far more negatively than I expected, but I can’t see where the goals are coming from.
I had Turkey to finish second in the group in the predictions on the strength of you lot saying they are decent. They are absolute wank.
Switzerland will give Italy a proper game (I hope now after claiming this). Switzerland struggle for goals though, but using a cliche, a solid well drilled team where the players know their roles.

No, I just want a more interesting game. I believe if you stand off the pitch deliberately, it's a foul when you touch the ball when you return to the field of play.
The glaring weakness in this Italy team is the pace of the centrebacks. They're playing an incredibly high line too.
