I mean the penalty is as blatant as you’re likely to see.

 

Offside rule for this tournament is that the line is drawn down from the top of the shoulder. It's meant to prevent the silly ones when someone's hand, foot, fingernail or nose hair is offside. To be fair I think they've dealt with the VAR very well so far, it's usually a quick and smooth decision. Much better than in the PL.

 

It’s odd how they’ve got it so right in the World Cup and the Euros, but in domestic football it’s been a complete pisstake
