Partly but then Nuno also stank up the place. Kane was a big reason why we finished top 4 at the end of that season so it was partly down to the manager. He was much improved almost instantly after Conte's arrival.

I do think if an offer is coming in from overseas though we should just take it. I don't believe he'll sign a new contract. If we can get a fee for him without losing him to an English club then it's win-win for all parties.

He'll be impossible to replace but I'd probably rather we do it this summer and let Ange start afresh.

But back then he mentally settled again and dedicated himself to the team going forward,
if this is his final season with us and he start half arsed then he's unlikely to raise his game as the season goes on.
I'm worried January as always comes fast, and that we get a nothing season from Kane. His wages and lost transfer fee for final year is £1.7m per week. Want him either 100% in or somewhere else.

I think if he's not bought into Postecoglou's vision and is keen on leaving he will be moved on

I'm not too concerned about his professionalism. I just think if we can sell him abroad we're probably best to rather than let him go join another English club in 12 months time.

The ideal scenario would be he signs a new contract but I can't see it happening and I think he'd be stupid to do so anyway. Ship him off to Bayern for 3-4 years and he can come back and finish his career here, take Shearer's record and hopefully win a cup to top off his Bundesliga medals.

    THIS!!

i hate to say this given what a great player he has been for us but I would probably take the money now. it looks like bayern are coming back with an improved offer. that money for a 30 year old with 1 year left on his contract is a good deal.
BUT for me just as important in this equation is that he doesnt go to another english club. for me thats probably what sways the argument. adding 30+ goals per season to a rival english club is a disasterous prospect. at least he can't hurt us playing abroad.... and you just know he'd probably score a hatrick the first time he plays against us

Big relief that it happened now and doesn't throw a shadow over our entire season and Postecoglou's reign.

Happy for him. Life moves on as far as Tottenham are concerned though.
