What is so insidious is that, at the top level, stopping women from having abortions is nothing to do with a pro life belief (although there are obviously shit loads of religious loons over there who believe in such bollocks), it's more about putting another misogynistic hurdle and control in place.
It's not even just this, it's as much to try and prevent a perceived "replacement of whites" with people of colour due to the higher birth rates in these minorities and declining birth rates in the white population. RDS is a loon but...it kind of does. If the anti-abortion movement was motivated by wanting to suppress the black population, then they would be for abortion not against it. If abortion were illegal the black population would be significantly higher in the US.
