Do you not think the viscous-cycle I described is accurate? I’d be grateful if you could quickly sum up your PoV on this.
This is a key thing. UEFA have long been criticised for not dealing with racist incidents in UEFA competitions harshly enough. However this was always to do with fans. To have a UEFA appointed official causing this much dismay, and to be accused of racism or being racially insensitive, when doing his job is a watershed moment for UEFA. It is right that the teams took it as seriously as they did, I think anybody describing it as an overreaction is refusing to see the bigger picture.
No, I don't because black communities are not the beginning of that cycle as you suggest. It's the people in power who have put those black communities in that situation at the root of it, and those same people have no interest in breaking a cycle that benefits them.
If You Don’t See Race, How Can You See Racial Inequality? I know your fingers probably have the strength of a soggy poppadom, but please learn to type properly. x
Don't waste your time with LEF mate, he has just reinvented himself as this spiritual c*nt. He does this kind of shit every now and again when he gets bored, he's a pretty sad WUM.
How are they refusing to see the bigger picture? If anything I would say the discourse on here today proves that is not the case. People are seeing a different picture and are explaining why they see it like that, now that isn't to say they are necessarily correct but without discussing it how would they have their minds changed?
Well I definitely agree that the people in power are morally corrupt, but I don’t necessarily think they’re against black people - the fact BLM is supported by every mainstream media outlet is proof of this. I don’t think the police themselves are generally racist, and that was the point I wanted you to address.
The bigger picture being football's ability to truly be a multicultural and welcoming game. If you cannot assure that, then there is no point playing it. Yesterday a UEFA appointed official managed to make members of a team feel targeted and alienated for their race. This obviously isn't acceptable. People can try and defend it all they want, but we are still left with how those players and staff members were made to feel yesterday. People can say they overreacted, but then we are just where we were.... the teams took it upon themselves to decide where the line is drawn and they should be commended. It is now down to the organisers (UEFA) to react to try and ensure this never has to happen again.
Not the officers themselves, not necessarily, but they are not doing a good job at being public servants, and the system they are operating under is racist by design.
The worlds gone mad.......everyone is offended by everything...... left wingers , BLM, gingers, remainers ,transgenders, LGBT all never stop moaning
There you go. A different picture than say the one I was discussing. Hence people seeing it as different things, and being willing to discuss it.
dont need to i'm a man of the people, i can guess what it says and im not racist in the slightest. i just googled is calling someone black racist
I don't know what you posted, because I didn't read it. Or maybe I missed it in one of your replies to me?
You really are a disturbed individual. You asked me about my beliefs, tried to make out I’m mixing both Hinduism and Christianity, and when I highlighted how ignorant you are you disappeared, only to reappear in another thread to snidely call me a ‘spiritual c*nt’, and yet I’m the sad WUM? Not to mention that absolutely disgusting post you made in the Champions League thread. Take your negativity elsewhere.
Why aren’t they doing a good job? You have to bear in mind that the media hardly ever report the good things the police do; they only ever mention the controversial incidents. Why is the system they operate under racist by design?
