What a strange being you are. One day you're telling us he's a rat with no loyalty, next you've got him balls deep in your mouth.

I thought the Pope, of all people, knew the concept of "forgiveness", especially when the sinner relents.

Messi giving Suarez a warm send off, and Barca a kicking as well:

“You deserved a farewell befitting who you are: one of the most important players in the history of the club, achieving great things for the team and on an individual level,”

“You did not deserve for them to throw you out like they did. But the truth is that at this stage nothing surprises me any more.”

  7. Does that numpty want Barcelona to move on or not? He cries because they're shit and then throws a strop when they try to get declining players off the books.

Declining player he maybe, but he's still an extremely capable one too, still one of the best forwards out there. He'll go to Atletico and smash 25/30 league goals. I'd have him back at Liverpool in a shot.

He was still one of their best players, and I think they'll miss him massively next season, especially as he's going to a direct rival for the league which I think might go back to haunt them.

  10. He is, but things need shaking up there and he was on ridiculous money.

Barcelona and Madrid are two of a kind. Just because they are democratic clubs owned by its members, with an elected board, everyone (members, supporters, the press and the players) feels that they have the right to throw dirt at the board when/if things go south and actually expect to force the board to either resign or to change their ways (something that cannot be done at Manchester Utd, for example).

It's amazing that Suarez, who got a TopTop star salary with Barcelona, is now crying and throwing dirt because the board tried to milk some money out of him after 6 seasons, 33 years of age and three consecutive abysmal failures at the UCL (some might say four). This is a truly unique scenario where primadonnas pretend to have the actual power to dictate how and when they will leave a football club, for personal reasons only, while also pretending that they are the immaculate good boys of the story.

As I've said, unique to Barça and Madrid. Not surprisingly, other primadonnas and bellends publicly supported Messi/Suarez yesterday: Eto'o, Vidal, Alves, Neymar and Fabregas. Yuck, I need a shower now.

Suarez should have learned from Rakitic, who has left the club as a class act.

    Certainly not in the UCL.

Anyway, difficult Liga for Barça and Madrid with this Sevilla and Suarez at Atletico.

He scored 5 goals in 7 games in the Champions League last season, you're going to have to replace those goals somehow.

Didn't score when it counted: Roma and Anfield. Ironically, he scored the most irrelevant-yet also one of the most spectacular-goal of UCL history: the 2-4 vs Bayern, with Boateng sitting on his ass, that quickly evolved into a 2-8.

Don't worry about us: Messi, Fati, Griezmann, Trincao, Pedri...if only we had signed Depay...

He scored in both of those ties? He helped put Barcelona in to big leads in both of those games, Suarez wasn't the problem or the reason you collapsed.

You've lost a clinical goalscorer, and haven't really got the money to replace him. You can't take a goalscorer like him for granted.

As I've said, 33 years and not scoring when it counted, Roma and Anfield. This is the right time for him to leave, especially with Griezmann forced to play as LFW for most of 19-20. He thinks otherwise, and he has the right to do so. But the Twitter drama was unnecessary. Also, the scandal in Italy doesn't help his cause either.

Indeed Cotterill. Looking at Suarez's numbers for the past two seasons. 46 goals, those will need replacing, and he could very well wonder why he has been moved on.

He was scoring when it counted. He scored against Roma, he scored against Liverpool and he scored against Bayern too.

Those weren't finals, were they? Two-legged ties, and he was abysmal in Roma and Anfield. 33 years and one of Top8 highest salaries in Europe. Barça can win the Liga with younger attackers earning certainly less than Suarez.

No, he's played one Champions League final for Barcelona, and he scored the winning goal. You need to look elsewhere as to why he's only played in one final.

Yes, he's getting older, and yes he might be on good money but it doesn't take away from the fact that he's going to be big shoes to fill, and one's that I'm not sure you'll be able to replace.

It might get worse for Barca before things get better.
