    I'll be honest, I couldn't give a **** about this cup this year, we have way too many injuries, we played too many games last season and the physical conditioning of the players suck, the fewer fixtures the better imo. With that said, whilst I know I won't get what I want as ETH is a moron and doesn't rotate (or even make subs), I'm protecting the squad going full rotation for the most part here;

    Bayindir
    McTominay Lindelof Evans Kid?
    Amrabat Eriksen
    Pellistri Hannibal Garnacho
    Martial

Whilst I think Dave is completely and utterly shit I did feel somewhat sorry for him during the run in last year as he had played a ridiculous amount of minutes and performances are destined to drop (the last couple months was the worst he ever was) when fatigued, let's not make the same mistake again this season with Onana. McTominay rb under the assumption that Reguilon is ****ed so we'll need a rb (Dalot lb in the league) so may aswell get him a bit used to it in advance, he's played in defence for Scotland before. Lindelof because he's shit and idgaf if he gets burned out Varane is almost back and hopefully Maguire and Martinez aren't far off, Evans because I'm playing a kid, any kid doesn't matter, at lb and I think having experienced heads next to kids is important. Amrabat to get up to speed but I'd only be playing him 60 mins regardless of gamestate, Eriksen because I wouldn't be playing him in the league game with the kids behind Martial who we may as well play whilst he's fit.

I wouldn't have Bruno Rashford, Casemiro or Hojland on the bench let them have the night off.

I'd play Alvaro Left Back but we know that ain't going to happen.

Jurado could've played Right Back but was let go. May as well sell all the promising youngsters. Giving Hannibal another start would be ideal, get him into the swing of it.

With Lindelof, Evans and Varane currently the only available Centre Backs, I think starting Onana might be the best option to get the understanding as well as momentum.

we had shaw and malacia at the time, so he wasn't going to get any minutes. the two of them picked up injuries after alvaro's loan was finalized

I'm not going to this, not really that bothered about it but we need to get out of the rut of defeat after defeat, we can't allow the narrow win at Burnley to be a blip. Four home games in a row with Palace at home again on Saturday, if we could by some miracle win all four we'd be a team playing with confidence again.

Plenty of kids for this one, but with the number of injuries we already have we may end up playing some first teamers too. I'd rest Evans given his age, but no reason Onana can't play again, with Martial and Garnacho up front. No idea about midfield, but Amrabat needs a game.

I'm sure Malacia has been injured since before any talk of Alvaro going out?

you're probably right, but i think, too, that malacia's injury ended up being more long-term than initially believed. either way, it is what it is now and i've been happy with reguilon's performances so far. the guy fights on and off the ball, despite picking up a little knock or conceding. good on him, too, for picking up onana after his howler against bayern and encouraging him.

I might be wrong. It does seem Malacia has been out since the 2nd Match.

Yeah Reg has been very good, surprised me to be honest. Very encouraging signs.

Onana after the Bayern match showed true honesty. Really commend him for that and did well yesterday as well.

I agree it is what it is but at the same time some thought should've been put into letting these players go out.

Good news, both to start in this for me. Save Evans for the weekend game alongside Varane, Amrabat Mount Hannibal midfield 3 with Eriksen on for Mount 60th minute with Mount RW at the weekend Amrabat Casemiro Bruno in the middle.

Man Utd XI: Onana, Dalot, Maguire, Varane, Amrabat, Casemiro, Mount, Mejbri, Garnacho, Pellistri, Martial.

Crystal Palace XI: Henderson, Clyne, Holding, Richards, Mitchell, Doucoure, Riedewald, Schlupp, Rak-Sakyi, Ayew, Mateta.

Will Henderson have a worldie against his former employers? Very unusual to see a United team without Fernandes. Three at the back? :hmmm

Switch off play people crashing into the box a cut back to the edge of the 6 yard box and we score a goal. Everything leading up to the goal we don't do anywhere near enough, we're poor at switching the play, we never crash the box with numbers and when was the last time we got to the byline and cut it back?

    Excellent goal.

That'll be a resounding 'no' then.

We have a manager who likes left footed wingers on the right and right footed wingers on the left, so naturally we seldom see any of them get to the byline and put a cross in. :(

Yep, if I'm too make any prediction on the future (next 5 years) 'meta' it'll be normal wingers who can go round the outside again, especially if this inverted fullback idea stays around.

Anyway Mount has been excellent so far, that delivery for Casemiro was fantastic.

Imagine what a revelation it will be too! It'll probably turn out to be something 'Pep' has invented . . .

Yep, 'Pep' invented football didn't you know?

Nothing new under the sun for football since the 50s, it just goes in cycles.

Palace have made it easy for us so far, but nice to see us control a game for a change. Few stand outs but Amrabat looks the real deal, always looking for a forward pass.

Pleased wuth the scoreline, but our passing on the final third is sloppy. Too soft or one too many touches when playing someone in first time would have been the better play. Not too bothered, though, given the rust and fresh injury returnees
