    Kids again .

Around 10/12 first team & squad players are warm weather training / resting niggles in U.A.E. & don't fly back home until Sunday evening / Monday morning .
You're most welcome , shame you couldn't have enhanced your GD but it was an invaluable night for Posh's teenagers who'll all be multi million pounds assets in 2/3 seasons time .

Good luck on Saturday , Burton & Scumbridge are perennial relegation fodder , they're luck can only last for so long .
Kids again unfortunately , but you lot beat us 5-0 at London Road last season with the on loan Man U kiddie Shothire ( think he was called ) running the show & Big Ricardo Santos loves a goal at London Road ( 9/1 anytime goalscorer bet365 , bet refunded if don't start ) throw in a nervous Derby & a large vociferous Carlisle away following then anything could happen , teams just don't win 7-0 on final games or blow 4-0 wins in play off semi's , do they ;)

Cambridge won't go down as there last game is against port vale basically the easiest game anybody could get, only need get a draw to stay up and I think they will win. Whoever stays up this season by the skin of there teeth will struggle next season as Wrexham, Stockport and Mansfield will all be fine next season and could well all finish top half.

Also Santos didn't play last game or wasnt even on the bench, so I'd say it's doubtful he will play. Game is a dead rubber really as derby arnt going drop points against carlise.

I agree re Scumbridge , I can imagine Port Fail will romp into a 2 goal lead & Scumbridge will bag a draw to stay up .

I reckon like Posh Bolton won't play their best X1 but if Santos does play he scored twice in last season's 5-0 win & was giving it large in front of the Posh fans as well as when he played for Barnet he also scored at London Road , I've ticked the box so if not selected it's cash back .

Are you making the trip on Saturday ?

I'm a bit p*ssed off about us playing the kids , I got ticket same time as Pompey ticket thinking there maybe something to play for but , hey ho .

It sounds like he is knows they will finish 4th for playoffs so why risk playing your usual starting 11 for them to get tired or get injured when you can give your kids a run out as logically you werent getting autos as derby wont slip up against carlisle. so save your big guns for the play offs and hope your tactics pay off or at least get to wembley.

Spot on , and also it gives Fergie the chance too look as some of our academy & 2nd string players in terms of temperament & ability against decent opposition & in terms of Saturday in front of a 10k + crowd rather than a few hundred in an Under 21 match for next season & or the future .

Don't quote me on this but workmate said that Saturday will be Posh's 60th match in all competitions & some players have played or been a part of 50+ of those games so need a rest & all players are carrying slight niggles at this time of season & aren't 100% so kudos to Fergie .

We're at home to Charlton on Saturday which will be Joe Jacobson's 400th and last game for us as he's retiring, been a superb player for us since we signed him on a free from Shrewsbury in 2014. He has gone down in Wycombe history for scoring the winner against Oxford in the 2020 Play Off Final which took us into The Championship so it will be an emotional day i wish him well for the future.:clap::clap:

Tell you what, if we slip up against Carlisle and Bolton sneak in, there will be allot of disgruntled fans who will see it as a huge missed opportunity

Good luck to Derby , Bolton , Barnsley , Oxford , Lincoln & Blackpool in their own quests tomorrow & at the other end likewise for Cheltenham , Burton & begrudgingly Cambridge also .

If after The Big Match Revisited ends tomorrow & Fergie has picked the kids again & the weather is sh*te despite getting my ticket same day as my Pompey ticket I'll probably wait until 2nd leg of play offs to give our players a round of applause in their lap of dishonour & give the match a miss .

I very rarely go away games as I have to work 2 Saturdays a month so I always arrange to work on the days when we play away. We sell out most away games so it's hard for me to get tickets, its usually only the odd Tuesday night away game that I go to if we haven't sold out already.

    Deserved a draw from that.

We've gone a whole season without scoring direct from a corner

Cheltenham always had a chance of getting out of the bottom four and never took it, but considering their start of the season, the fact they brought it to the final day at all is impressive.

Burton still very lucky to stay up despite that. Must be the favourites to go down next season.

Also what a shame that Lincoln won't be in the play-offs. Barnsley did their best to bottle it for both them and Oxford and they didn't get the message..

Beat Charlton 1-0 to finish in 10th place which isn't bad considering in January we were only 2 points above the relegation spots. :)

Firstly , congratulations to Derby , yet another clean sheet , them things win you promotion something ourselves & Bolton no little of but boy , what a game at London Road .

Bolton similar to Barnsley & Wigan earlier in the season pressed & harried us big time , moved the ball quickly & the 12 men including the one in yellow were well worthy of their half time lead .

2nd half Bolton took off their 12th man , Bobby Madley ( useless c*nt ) & X1 v X1 was a real game & a Posh onslaught with the 2k from Lancashire like church mouses for 30 mins watching wave after wave of Posh attacks & 3 goals before Bolton got their act together final 10 mins & got their equaliser .

If there were any neutrals watching today they'd have definitely got their £ worth , excellent attacking match , some sh*te defending .

Good luck to Bolton in play offs , a decent lot , having a good laugh after & didn't know that Posh face Oxford in play offs , always thought it'd be Barnsley .

Commiserations to Cheltenham , small consolation but away days at Walsall , Newport & Swindon are ones to look forward to next year .

Burton & Scumbridge once again , skin of their teeth merchants , you can only flirt with relegation so many times before it actually happens .

    Charlton Season 2024/25

    Played 46
    Won 0
    Lost 0
    Drawn 46
    Goals For 46
    Goal Against 46
    Points 46

Should just about scrape past relegation :D

If Birmingham get relegated they'll be faves , but Pompey have been knocking around this league for ages & got out so it's about time Charlton did or even look like doing .

As long as we keep more than 4 clean sheets next season I'll be happy. Yes, we kept a massive 4 clean sheets this season.
