Yep. Stupid really, stood there the whole with his arms behind his back and as soon as he charged forward and the ball came towards him he stuck them out .
Agree , I watched 2 mins highlights earlier though couldn't see it last night with people in front , still loads of positives in the season & like most Posh fans nobody at start of season thought getting rid of loads of older high earners from last season that we'd do so well this with a team with an average age of 22 , roll on next season .
Roll on AUGUST Saturday's aren't the same without some proper footie !!! A retained / released / for sale list would suffice , I imagine will happen next week or so
my ticket to wembley is booked, i think im the bolton fan with least distance to travel on saturday with it being only a few tube stops from mine. I dont want to take anything away from Oxford but im glad we got them as i think posh would of been the favourites going into the final if they got there.
My thoughts exactly. This season has been a disaster for us lot but I still miss it so much Euro’s will fill the gap I suppose.
Good luck on Saturday , I hope you enjoy your day as well as being promoted . Bolton play some nice attacking football , bit like Posh though being dodgy in defence & for League 1 to get rid of the 3 biggest teams in terms of budget & fan base in yourselves Pompey & Derby would be a good thing for the rest of us . How much were tickets being sold for ? You did great 1st half of season but do seem to be a 1 man team as in when Clarke is playing well then so are Sunderland . Euro's will be the usual damp squib , we have the most exciting talent in Europe but Southgate will set them up to stifle & nullify that talent which according to my workmates is our downfall .
I reckon Oxford will sell out away at Luton next season , fair play to em , cracking 1st half & if Bolton don't get their act together 2nd half I'd imagine Evatt will be on the dole Monday morning .
Bolton just never at the races today, will be well deserved for Oxford when they win. Gutting for the Bolton fans, been there a few times, got the T and all that. Both of these clubs wouldn't look out of place in the Championship tbf.
really very poor in comparison to Oxford. LMAO at Murphy trying the glory shot for his hat trick and missing it completely though
Well done Oxford Textbook performance. Bolton never looked like scoring. Great to see a different team in the Champ
Fair play to Oxford . Football's about styles & they stifle & nullify the opposition really well as well as effective counter attacking with pace . After watching Posh dismantle them back in December & their fans booing the team off & singing " you don't know what you're doing " to Buckingham & his coaching staff at half time I didn't see promotion coming , once again fair play , as football fans we can all be fickle ,shame we've been left with Bolton , again .
Oxford didn't have to step up once in the game. Absolutely dreadful from Bolton. They need a new manager who has a plan B.
Just finished watching the playoffs two cracking finishes from Murphy, to win the tie. I keep reading that Birmingham is going to find it hard in this league, Bla Bla Bla. If these two sides are a benchmark then I’m not as worried as I thought I would be. Congratulations to Oxford, commiserations to Bolton. From a blues perspectives I think most would’ve preferred Bolton, going up but in terms of away days Bolton is better.
