Does anybody in the know with cars have an idea roughly how much this lot might set me back please? Cheers. :thumb

The first two are linked to no. 3. So when they are sorted (new exhaust, at a guess) that will clear no. 3.

As far as repair bills go, I doubt it will be massive. But bear in mind the advisories don't need doing but probably will soon (perhaps cheaper to get done now).

Also, depends on the car you have and age etc.

Have a look on Euro car parts. Type in your reg then look for a new exhaust / rear drums/ pads/ discs

As for the oil leak that could be anything

Yeah. Only that will be a full exhaust, as the front end is leaking which is the bit that comes out of the engine. So depending on the car probably around £200. Brake balancing and seatbelt won’t be much.

What car do you have? And how old is it?

That might help the radiator but it won’t fix the exhaust though. Clapping could be a possible albeit temporary, solution to the issue?

    I’ve been quoted 150 - 250 depending on parts.
That is with attempting to fix the exhaust though, does that seem reasonable as I think it’s ok but my Wife does not.

Ahh that price also includes him fixing my top strut mount that’s been rattling since May/June last year that I’d forgotten about so seems a very reasonable price to me now anyway.

My advice is to burn your car out , collect on the insurance , then score yourself a knicked pushbike !

Just think of the money your gonna save !

    And my advice ( only because it's a Sunday , is free ) .

    You've had a win , win day ! :D

Funny you should say that but a few years ago I had a Ford Focus that needed loads of work doing to it, and would you believe it but 2 days before my MOT was due to run out some little rogue only went and poured paint stripper all over it and wrote it off, so my insurance paid out for it instead. That was lucky wasn’t it......... ;)

Wahey got it done for £130 without the top strut mount which he’s doing in another couple of days for £100, very happy with that.

Clutch has gone on my car today, thankfully I was only at Beechwood Farm around 2 miles away and I managed to crawl it home but thinking of just scrapping it now, bad times. :(
