Who do you all think should get the job?
For me a good Island lad Osian Roberts, already proven, knows all the players since they were 10 years old, proven at international level, it’s no contest
But the suits want a name doesn’t matter whether they have the experience or not as long as it’s a face.
Giggs, Bellamy, Hartson etc need to go and manage at Club level for a few years, times have changed for Wales and we can’t appoint an unproven name again.

Agree that we need a proven manager, although not necessarily a Welshman. Not convinced that the FAW would be prepared to pay enough to attract a manager with Premier League experience e.g. the (possibly) soon to be available Mark Hughes.

I think the current system with Osian overseeing the youth structure
and being involved with the first team has been very successfull
and I wouldnt change that by having him as full time manager.
People talk about foreign coaches but that hasnt really worked in
    England,Scotland and Ireland.
Id have Giggs with Bellamy as assistant. If youre not inspired by those 2 you never
will be.Pullis has been mentioned but he seems old-school and will want things
done his way and possibly wont want to listen to Osian and the rest of the
    current staff.
As for Jonathan Fords comments the only English names ive heard are Allardyce and
Hoddle, both left the England job in disgrace,Hoddle hasnt managed for 15 years anyway so
Ford was just stating a fact. Its laughable hes being investigated by the FAW but not
surprising to those of us who have an understanding of how the FAW council works.

That is surmising that Osian will agree to stay on as assistant to another ‘poster boy name’, he may feel overlooked and unwanted which is perhaps why Coleman went. He may not want to teach Giggs or Bellamy the job and I doubt they would listen either. He could end up doing all the work and the ‘name’ getting the glory.
As for Pulis, experienced as he is we would be back to the days of Gould ‘et al.’
My guess is Hughes to get sacked by Stoke and get the Wales job, not a great idea!

So they have narrowed it down to 3
    Giggs, Pulis and Roberts
The burning question for Welsh fans will be what will Roberts do if he doesn’t get it?
If he leaves the whole setup it could put us back a decade, more if it’s Pulis and could Giggs Mr Charisma ‘not’ do it with no experience

Theres an interview online from the Daily Post dated December 1st where
Osian states that although hes applied for the managers job he is more than
happy and ready to carry on with his current roles if the FAW appoint a new manager.
My worry is if Osian does step up will we find somebody else as good to perform
his roles I think probably not which could set us back.
Also its not often you see assistants or coaches step up to being a number 1 with
    great success.

Rumour is the players want Carl Robinson, wouldn't be opposed to that. Like Speed, he put the effort in whilst wearing the shirt and has been managing for some years now.

Surely we've reached a level of professionalism where we can't risk results to let someone inexperienced like Giggs chance his luck?

    That's Karl Robinson..

Carl Robinson is the guy who played for Wovles.

TBF When I first heard of Karl R thought it was the same guy!

Don't worry - Karl Robinson's ego might make him think he should get the Wales job!

If you live in North Wales some parts are more scouse than Liverpool
Especially when it comes to football supporters

Robinson’s not a bad shout but is he a ’name’ enough for the suits?

Looks like Giggs then, wrong choice and could set us back years
Be interesting to see his backroom staff and I wonder how often he’ll turn up to games
I’d have gone for Roberts and Bellamy as his assistant to learn the job for the future, but what do I know

Giggs. Hmm. If I was Welsh I'd rather have a sheep in charge.
