Absolutely gutted to be honest. The guy has no passion at all for the country, and consistently chose Manchester United over Wales. The guy for me doesn't understand anything about the togetherness that you need for a national team like ours to be successful. When he was playing, he showed no interest in being part of any sort of side, and would only play when he fancied it. How is he going to persuade injury prone players like Gareth Bale, or ageing players like Ashley Williams, to play in friendlies, and when players like that don't play in friendlies then your never going to be able to achieve anything as a unit. I don't think he's going to be any decent as a manager anyway, he just comes across as slow and a bit backwards when he is doing punditry (for England games on ITV, rather than watching Wales ...) As well as that, I just don't have any respect for him as a person, for obvious reasons. We have a very promising generation of kids coming through in Woodburn, Ampadu, Brooks and Wilson and we really have to be building on the success of the Euro's, so I hope I'm wrong but I really think this is going to end disastrously.

The guy's doing everything in his power to take any sort of momentum out of the national side, after the years of work from Speed and Coleman to get us in the right direction and to make Welsh games real occasions. in back to back friendlies, Giggs has shown the exact attitude he showed as a player in them. His view that friendlies are pointless is clear as day, the team for the Trinidad game was a joke, and even though we got the win in the end we looked like a group of players thrown together and nothing whatsoever like a team. That's largely because they were just a group of players thrown together, with no real thought seemingly made about the selection and the benefit that game will have for the players involved. Added to the poor quality on the pitch, there seemed to be no direction of how we actually want to play, and what the manager is trying to achieve tactically. We had Will Vaulks throwing in long throws to nobody, and just an odd mix useless long balls with the occasional attempt to build it out from the back unsuccessfully. Dan James, Ben Davies, David Brooks, Harry Wilson, Gareth Bale, Chris Mepham, Aaron Ramsey, Connor Roberts and Joe Allen all left out. No indication given to the fans paying for the Welsh national team, that they would get what resembles a Welsh B team. Whilst he may come out with a bunch of rubbish excuses, all of those players could have played, and the vast majority of them would have done under the previous managers. Whilst some people within football might not rate international friendlies, and would rather see those players performing for their clubs - international managers must not have this view, and Ryan Giggs does. International managers should be making the very most out of the ten or so fixtures that they have a year, and seeing the opportunity of representing their country as the highest honour. After the embarrassment of losing to Albania, and narrowly avoiding a draw with a terrible Trinidad side, I'm fearful for upcoming friendly fixtures which Ryan Giggs is doing his best to make meaningless and to be honest for the qualifiers as well. I'm not convinced at all by the management, and make no mistake about it - we have got the best group of players we've ever had, we should be qualifying for Euro 2020, and Giggs has to deliver that.
